Ever get angry about a game or hand? Do you have any special ways to decompress? I live in an apt in town so cant walk outside and scream or shoot my gun so need ideas! Thanks!

I just go outside, stare at the stars and breathe :)

On top of that I also think about how lucky I am to be able to play poker, and how I love the game :)

Once you look into the stars, you will realise how unimportant our existence is and how some bad beats or anything is basically meaningless :) And this helps with other life problems as well - I always realize how unimportant I am and that makes me happy, because my problems mean NOTHING in the grand scheme of things :)

I don't get angry anymore, or any less... pfft. Nah man, I try to figure out what I might have done wrong in the hand, analyze each street and figure out the right play. If it was a bad beat then I chalk it up to luck/bad luck. I do feel lucky in the sense that I have the rest of the world to piss me off, instead.

Hello everyone,before when I lost poker hands, I broke the computer mouse and keyboard, bent frying pans, broke glasses on the wall, bent spoons and forks, broke 2 laptops, laser printer and laptop and a couple of phones smashed against the wall, these things were not mine, I live with my parents and they were in shock and I had to buy all those things that I broke them and generally broke everything that came my way at this moment. I was just so angry that I was ready to go out and fight Mike Tyson, and I feel like I could beat him. Now, I try to control myself, because I don't want to break any more equipment and things, otherwise I will never be able to be in the black in poker and try to keep myself in hand when I lose a poker hand or a tournament, I just punch the wall or the Cabinet to let off steam. In General, I think that the best way to let off steam is to do sports, push-UPS or squats.

I had a lot of bad beats to scream for nerves but I solved it by the cigarette break or by stopping to play on that day.Last time I learned to accept the beats because it is a normal poker cycle, just enjoy yourself ...

My way to let off steam you don't like. I just play the slot machines in the casino, where you don’t need to think and just press a button. I usually lose everything and go to even greater tilt, and then do not play for several days. The next step I start playing without a bankroll and freerolls.

I think good to do a relaxing meditation, if it helps you or buy a punching bag and beat her when too angry. You can use different methods. The main thing - to find the most suitable for you.

I'll target shoot at the local range or take spin on a motorcycle. Also find coming up with a new meal plan to settle the nerves.

For me, if I get upset with the way a hand went, I usually sit out a few hands, or just walk away. I want poker to be a game I enjoy for the rest of my life, and if it stresses me out or upsets me, it'll only push me away. So taking a break for a few minutes or a day really helps me deal with the frustrations of the game.

Play something else.

Hehe, I usually go play a few rings of PUBG if make some bad decision at cards or feel I've been sucked out on. It's a good way to avoid going full tilt, the time away, not thinking about whether or not I made the wrong decision does me well.

I am not particularly disappointed when I have no luck, because I can’t take time back and start thinking about tomorrow,:rolleyes: because life doesn’t end:)

You need to create separation. Just stand and go to another room away from the phone/laptop for few minutes and when you are ready come back.

i say wtf and log off and stay away for at least a couple days. there's literally no excuse for being angry and that's a waste of energy

Idk man, I train in the mornings.

I do my best not to meet people before I pound some bags or trees.

Keeps me calm.

If anything emotionally triggers me over the course of the day, it means I didn't blow off enough steam so I fix that the next morning.

If I can't get to the gym, I hide in my room and at a bare minimum I avoid human contact until I've finished my coffee and smoke on the balcony followed by a shower.

If I feel intense emotional stress, I go to rest in nature in the mountains. It always helps me the best.

t seems to me that the best thing is a download a scream in the air cn very loud music a bad word a blow to drain the anger and we all have passed jejwje luck greetings

Try to breath and calm down and tell myself the more i let it get to me the more that it will affect my playing,

Or i put music on and try to calm myself if it happens
I rarely get angry by a beat beat
i get more "angry" if i play a hand horrible and make a bad read on the oppents hand.

So music helps for me or try to take those 5min breaks you get
(unless you play cash-games just sitout and take a 10min break and calm yourself down)

I nightly take a jog after busting my last tournament. Getting outside and not staying in front of the PC is what works best for me to decompress.

Maybe if this is not an option for you, try some other form of physical activity which you could do inside your apartment. Situps, pushups, calisthenics etc
