How Do We Define, "Suckout?"

So,

.25/.50NL two or three weeks ago, and I have a flush draw and a gutshot after the flop. I raised preflop, but villain bets into me post-flop, so I move-in all my chips. He calls and flips TPTK.

Turn makes my flush and villain proceeds to call me a "suckout" for the next 45min. Now, being the educated poker player that I am, I figure I have 12 outs to my hand- 9 flush outs and 3 straight outs (the fourth gutshot out is my suit for the flush). My math at the table said that I was a bit less than 48% to make the draw (accurately, I am 45% to make the draw).

Am I a suckout?

Okay, let's say I make the same play, but without the gutshout outs, yielding only the basic 9 flush outs for a 35% chance to win. Would I be a suckout then?

What if I did it with just the gutshot?

I always thought a suckout was someone catching a "2 outer" on the river.
Not a 13 outer on the turn.
Another case of someone putting too much value on TPTK in a cash game IMO.

Any time you beat someone who was ahead after the flop your open to the "suckout" label.

If someone attacks you with that, it either means that they are on tilt or they are trying to get you off your game. You need to either tilt them more or ignore it.

The ONLY time I respond is if I had the best hand before the flop. For example, my pocket AA vs pocket 99. A 9 hits the flop, an A hits the river. If he says I sucked out, my response is something like "Hey, the best hand before the flop was the best hand after the river. It has been known to happen." If the other player's really on tilt, that will drive him over the edge but hopefully not away from the table. I want him to stick around to try and get his money back.

A suckout is when a made hand is beaten by a completed opposing draw. A suckout doesn't have to be a bad beat, it just means that a player with a made hand was outdrawed and lost. Yep you've sucked out him. 2 outer is a badbeat.

You made a fine play, and "sucked out". Nobody's play was particularly bad.

It's the opposite of "sucking-in" basically.

How I define suckout is when I'm ahead after the flop and other player hits runner runner or hits their card on the river. Thats what I call a suckout

If he saids you sucked out, then just say that he sucked out on you first. The way I see it, justice is served.
I would considered a suckout to be anytime a hand in domination sucks out, usually 4 or less outs

nanananana. Come on suckout should be defined as you are in the lead. Your opponent is just chasing you down with nothing looking for that one outer and catches it on the river. And in the end you get beat by the hand you thought would never be. That is a suckout. Happens preflop all in as well.

No that defenitly is not a suck out.You made the right play.
If you were to call with just the flush draw I wouldnt call
that a suck out either.35 percent sometimes is enought to call
an all in with depending on the chip stakes.If you hit you 3 outer
or you AQ beats QQ or AA know thats a suck out Or if you go all in
on the turn hopeing to get your flush maby that could be called a
suck out.
