Well instead of breaking my cold snap it broke my measly account on pokerstars. I know this isnt a B&M center but Ive never had something like this happen so Im gonna ask how do I recover from a bad streak? Take time off, read a book to get back to basics or what?

my advice (take it or leave it :)):
take a break; give your poker mind a break.
then when you get back, go and play a tight aggressive style. Back to basics.
sometimes you get so caught up in the game that you go on long-term tilt sessions (i've been a victim myself) and the best remedy is to take a break of a few days or a week or even longer and then come back and go back to the basics and see how you feel.

lol I say find the nearest person and kick em where it counts , then say "it is your fault". Then come back and play some poker.

I'm going to have to say...depending on how much money you were playing with...try playing at a lower stakes table and play tight...because if your not hot...you don't want to risk your money because it all goes bad...so try a lower stakes...and work your way up...and make sure the moves you make...aren't mistakes...=) but if cards are just bad...just take some time off until you get over the loss...but yeah just don't chase or play as many hands because it don't always hit...

westsou most times when i lose i had better hand on the flop but when i raise the river ****ed me...its really bad when you had 5-7 and the flop is 5-A-7 ... i know that at least one player will pay my all in :) so it happens but..... TURN: 4 and RIVER:4 ... so at the end i had my 2 pairs so and he :\

another excample... i played 10 seats table but only 2 playes on the table... the other guy was aggresive player and i had AA so i decide to go all in with my 35$ and he of course called(he goes all in previus hands) at the and he beat me with AQs ... he had flush...

some badbeats makes me feel bad and i had lost my half bankroll ... but i continued to play and i lost everything ...
DONT PLAY WHEN YOU ARE ANGER !! :)

p.s. i'm playing 0.10$/0.20$

I like to get away from it for a while, how long away depends on your a/f (addiction factor). Then I come back and tighten down, only play quality hands and get out of any flop that results in nothing. No Chasing! I also will play top pair and two pair hands conservatively. Be extra cautious of potential draws for your opponents, better to win a little than lose alot. If my value bets get raised I'm out, and if it get called I reduce the next one. Then when the cards begin coming again, I go back to my normal style.
