I guess i don't understand how the dealer is chosen in an online horse tourney during the 7 stud h/l portion.\
Mainly because i was playing the $50 free roll at pokerhost and was the dealer 15 hands in a row being forced to bring in every time.
Can anyone explain this to me? I get high card bets first but being forced to bring in 15 hands in a row....... Please explain .......

ok let me correct myself, i was not forced to bring in every time. But was forced to bring in numerous times when i was low card and the rules say bring in starts with the Highest card Up. And i was the dealer 15 hands in a row.

Low card. If multiple deuces, then CDHA is the order from bottom to top.

There is no button is S8, so this happens each hand.

You had bringinitis.

on my hand history it shows me as the dealer on every hand for 15 hands. Wouldnt this mess with the random card generator?

also why do their rules say hi card brings in on both games it doesnt make sense.

I just looked up the rules for 7 Stud H/L on Poker Host, and it says the lowest card brings in before the betting round starts (same with 7 Stud). Maybe you have a couple of those hand histories you can post?

low card always brings in for a stud game, no matter what style it is. in hi lo its not a huge deal to bring in because at least u can win with a low. gets annoying if its just stud. after the 4th card is dealt it, the best hand showing always acts first from then on...i dont like that in heads up games there is usually always still a cap on how many times it can be reraised

here is what it says on their site "Bring In - A forced bet imposed at the start of the first betting round, paid by the player with the highest up card."

Well you guys are right in regards to the low card bringing according to my history i guess i just don't get why their rules say Hi card and why i was the dealer so many times in a row.

On game progression it says first the dealer is decided... How is the dealer decided and how can i be the dealer 15 times in a row.

What network is PokerHost on?

Do you have the option anywhere to save your HH's? Most sites offer that.

Being dealer 15 hands in a row could probably be explained by it being HORSE - if you were the dealer on the last O8 hand, then the button wouldn't move again until the game got back to hold 'em - so through razz, stud and stud 8 chances are it'd still show the button in front of you.

If you're still connected to the network, take a screen shot and upload it online. Better proof anyways then copy and paste.

Thank You, i just reviewed the history again and your right. I became dealer in razz and was dealer up until i was eliminated in 7 stud h/l.

With that being said.....Why doesn't the dealer change? What makes it different then Omaha Or Holdem?

It would seem to me that alternating top card on deck would be part of RCG. I'm not saying conspiracy im just trying to understand the reasoning behind it.

From your client, click >Settings > Hand History Settings

If the save HH's box is checked, it will offer you the location, if it is not checked, check it, and create the folder where they will be saved. Probably a good idea to accept the location the software offers.

Screenshots

Make sure the target window is active, then hit Alt-PrtScr this makes a copy on the clipboard.
Open Paint, put cursor in the Paint window, and hit Ctrl-V.
Save it as a JPEG,jpg after giving it a catchy name.
I suggest saving it to the desktop. Makes finding it easier.
Then, when you post, above the window is a paperclip icon, click that. That takes you to a download window, Browse for the file you placed on your desktop, OPEN it, UPLOAD it. Close that window.
Then back in your post window, click the paperclip again, and you should see you file there, click it.

Waalaa!

got it i will try and access that folder from windows. Does the program need to be closed to access data files within it?

Doesn't matter who the dealer is in bring-in games since "position" is not determined by the location of the button.
