Which type of game have other found better for building a bankroll. Sit and Go's or cash games? I read Chris Ferguson's article on building a bankroll but I found my self on too many $1 SnG's where people played completely crazy. Just trying to figure how to get the most value of play for my money???

If you're just starting out (and I'll assume you are for the purposes of this reply), then pokerstars is a better site. They have the micro-limit ring games that I've found to be great for building a starting bankroll.

Grind out .50 to a $1.00 in the freerolls, and hit up the no-limit games 1-2 cent or 2-4 cent games. You have plenty of blinds to wait for a monster, and you have a good shot at doubling up if you play right. Once you double up, leave the table when the blinds come back to you and start over. I built a $2 freeroll win into fifty bucks starting out like this.

Hope this helps.

jay hit the nail right on the head.... pokerstars is by far the best site to start a bankroll, plenty of players all day everyday, and at all limits so ull easily find a table...

but dont just pick the first table available, have a scout about... 20-30 mins till u find 1 with some loose players.. take ur seat and there money :)

Winning a couple of bucks on a freeroll does give you a chance to explore. I do prefer pot limit tables myself to no limit. But either way if you scout the tables, you can wait for strong hands and add cash pretty regularly. Some people just won't fold, so you can get your money in good with strong odds.

Where is your play the strongest? Tournament play or cash? Different styles of play are required.
Personally, I usually do not play the two types at the same time and if I focus on one style of play at a time, even with multiple tables open, I generally come out money ahead.
My preference is sit-n-gos, but I can cash up faster on cash tables. Sit-n-gos are more fun.
So where do you excel? Play there to build your bankroll.

I do enjoy the occasional sit and gos myself. But for building a bankroll get some money off a freeroll on stars. And start at a really low stakes table.
