Thanks for sharing the article in this forum. I have always found it interesting watching the better dealers work their trade. Naturally, not all dealers pass at the top of their class, so I have seen some dealers who needed all the help they could get from the players at the table.
Unfortunately, the article had more errors in the language, grammar, and punctuation than any dealer would have at the table - and still be employed. The author needs to edit their work.
I take my turn dealing at a home game. Very relaxed atmosphere. Just a bunch of old guys who all make dealer errors and often can't even remember whose turn it is to deal. For me to be a dealer, I would definitely have to attend dealer school. Do old guys, with a short working lifespan ahead of them get a discount?
