when I saw a Brazilian working in the online casino of Ps, 888 and Party ... I started thinking that it would really be a good profession for me, if I live in another country that has a casino or when brazil changes the law that prohibits casino

Fascinating insight into what it takes to be a dealer.
Personally I couldn't deal with the tilted players and you also need very good dexterity to successful deal.
It must be a great thrill to deal in a big cash game.
I will be in Vegas in October and I will be sure to tip my dealer and be polite and respectful to them.

Maybe I would try - just to build bankroll. But for me it's hard even to realize how much I should bet for making a call. Can't imagine to do it every half minute during a hand.

Dear dealers, do not forget that your hands are destined to make a lot of money! And the Lord bless the RNG! Actually very difficult work. Most importantly, do not forget to leave a tip to dealers, after good hands!

I would like to be a poker dealer for the multi-million dollar games but not a generic dealer. The generic dealers get assaulted and insulted...the pay is terrible to have to deal with that as a grind...forget it. No the players should not be subsidizing casino labor compensation.

Unfortunately, I can get easily distracted, so card dealer is not a good job for me.
On top of that, my hand is full of inch so it will be hard to deal cards.
I respect this job.

I was a poker dealer in Romania, for some private games and you have to deal with a lot of kind of people and this is not always fun, because they got angry and they always said that it is your fault, this is the worst part of this kind of job, but also you can make a good win from this, if there are good players who tips you. Like always there are minuses and pluses like every job.

Ihor, I think you were born to be a dealer, because you have very big hands and you can easy shuffle cards and chips!

I think it would be a pessimistic profession for me ... I would guess, I would be anxious to know that the hero is falling into a trap of the villain.
I think I would have an infarct on the first day haha

No doubt it is a very difficult profession and is not exercised by anyone, the dealer has my respect, is a patient person who must be prepared for many situations, these situations can be good or bad. I admire much more I do not have the capacity to perform this function, I find it very difficult.

Yeah, nah.

I'm not cut out to be a dealer. It would be torture. Constantly unable to play, having to watch people play, always handling cards but never having cards myself. Nah.

Working as a dealer is really interesting and fascinating , very important it can award you a satisfying income that can become higher and higher , but it all depends on your abilities . I read the article , unfortunatelly I don't have any of the qualifications needed for this job , none at all :). So I can't dream that some day I will be a significant dealer in the business .
Nonetheless , I will keep on admiring the dealers for what they offer to poker , without them the game would not be the same at all :)

I think it is a great job that, I would not like to rule out at all I would like at some point to incur that world of the dealer maybe nothing professional. Maybe soon I will start some poker games at home and I will encourage myself to be the delivery boy hahaha. It seems very good to me, it is always good to know more and more about our beautiful world of Poker.

I love this topic because I work for a long time in casinos, and if to be a dealer it is not easy you must have a lot of mental and hand skills and know how to calculate fast at the moment, know how to solve each situation with unpleasant people and always with a good face, and very good this article here have all the basic rules of how to train to be a big dealer, and you always have to like what they do .. to see how much dealer we get from CC

My friend worked as a dealer. This is very hard work. There are many stress situations. In house games I always try to avoid this fate

Never intending to become a poker dealer - sounds too boring for me!
Furthermore, having to deal with some rude poker players, I would not have that solid nerves to keep calm :p
But good that there are still enough people to serve this job - I think that they should be paid better!
Nice article CC :top:

I thought about doing this part time just to see how it was. I'm sure if you are good and friendly you can make some good tips too!

Very good article, really interested me being a professional poker dealer. At first before playing online, I learned playing live with friends and could not play as well, was the distributor of letters and so I started to like the game, I learned to play dealing cards. It would be good to live what one likes best, in this case poker. Unfortunately, in argentina there are no schools of poker dealers, but good time I hope to do some online course. regards

Thanks for sharing the article in this forum. I have always found it interesting watching the better dealers work their trade. Naturally, not all dealers pass at the top of their class, so I have seen some dealers who needed all the help they could get from the players at the table.

Unfortunately, the article had more errors in the language, grammar, and punctuation than any dealer would have at the table - and still be employed. The author needs to edit their work.

I take my turn dealing at a home game. Very relaxed atmosphere. Just a bunch of old guys who all make dealer errors and often can't even remember whose turn it is to deal. For me to be a dealer, I would definitely have to attend dealer school. Do old guys, with a short working lifespan ahead of them get a discount?

I have never thought about becoming a dealer, dealing in home games is always my least favourite part about playing home games. I like playing poker too much to become a dealer, all the casinos around where I live are owned by the same gaming company and don’t allow employees to gamble.

♦️♠️♥️♣️

Hypothetically, with everything considered, a newly hired entry level Poker Dealer within a premier casino, from a P.R. standpoint; would only be ideal when the compelling factor to be a Dealer in the first place, is too subtly gather tremendous rakes of invaluable live table knowledge in every situation imaginable.
