This is how quite a few losing players think. They want to believe they're winning players, so they tell themselves they're the victims of inordinately bad luck.
This is also quite often paired with incorrectly thinking their results during winning streaks reflect their true ability level.
Either or both of these can lead or contribute to poor BRM.
The fact that you lost an entire $700 BR and then a $300 one certainly suggests you have poor BRM. But maybe it will help if you try to understand why - whether it's these reasons or others.
