How to get a screen shot?

This may sound dumb but I've seen a lot of people get a pic of their wins on different sights and I was wondering how to get a screen shot, I've never done it. I don't have a printer or scanner hooked up to this computer so I hope it doesn't involve those things?

do a google and search for snagit 8,very simple to use free for 28 days :D

...if your using a pc, hit the "prnt scrn" button usually up on the top right of your keyboard next to f10, f11, page up...etc. After hitting that button go into a photo/image editing program such as MS Paint, click "edit->paste", or hit control-V, then crop & edit the picture if you prefer.

Just a tip, holding alt while hitting print screen will take a screenshot of only the active window...

wow. good to know. Nice tip!:icon_thum It never ceases to amaze me when I find that something I can do on a Mac that I can now do on a PC. lol
