How many hours of online poker do you play per week on average? (or hands)
Also, if you keep track, what is your ROI over the entire time you have played?

Reason for asking:

I've been playing about 20-30 hours a week since August trying to build a BR from freerolls and micro SNGs. I'm still at a bankroll under $5 and when I think about how much time I have spent on playing, reading about it, watching videos etc. it all feels a bit hopeless. Even though I'm enjoying it (most of the time ;)) and learning a lot I'm frustrated about not getting anywhere. I feel like a need som perspective so please let me know how much you have played and how it's going for you.
Thanks in advance!

At the levels you play, it's generally not a great idea to focus on your win rate. It'll be tiny even if you're winning at all, and thus discouraging. When I started, the micros were even softer and there was a lot more freeroll money out there. But I still remember when my winnings were counted in cents per hour, not dollars per hour.

The thing to focus on, then and still now, is improving your game. The first first target is to simply to become above average compared to the opponents at the level you currently play. This will make you a small winner. Then, as you continue to improve, you'll be able to win more at that level, then move up...

And until you get to where you're playing for meaningful money, focus on enjoying the game. Yes, it's more enjoyable to make money and to make more money. But concentrating on your roll doesn't make it grow (faster). Getting better does.

i used to play 50+ hours a week easily. now im more casual, 2-3 a day, 4 or 5 days a week. then live I play 1 or 2 days a week (usually one tournament a week, then 2 or 3 hours of cash game) for 6/7 hours total.

if you're pro then scheduling your poker time is crucial if you want to have any longevity, our you'll get 'pokered out' take set days off, maintain a routine, have significant time away from the poker tables. And make some time in your poker world to play games just for fun, home games with friends etc. this helps keep it in perspective and stops your brain obsessing over poker.

deposit? even like $50 will get you started at 2nl and makes so much more sense than grinding it up from freerolls.

and I dunno about hours, i'm lazy though so I usually play like 10k hands a week.. just found zoom though so probably will go flying up.

I have been playing for about 5 years and tend to make a deposit of 20-50 bucks and play with that like 30 hours a week until its gone then I tell my self I am quitting and I don't play for a week or so and do it again. Some times I start making money but once it gets over 1k I withdraw it down to 100 or less and try again. Learned a lot but probably a little down overall.

I just started really trying the zero to hero thing and I am not sure if micro stakes are helping or hurting my game. However playing free games has allowed me to experiment a lot more and not care. I have been doing it for a couple of months and got my roll to 30 bucks at its peek but its at like 1.25 currently.

I average about 5 to 10 hours a week mostly on the lower end, and mostly on the weekends, SOME PEOPLE HAVE TO WORK LOL!!! 40 to 60 hours must be retired, thats got to be 7 to 10 hours a day?can't really knock it, I really do enjoy playing, just don't nearly have that kind of time on my hands !!
