jus askina question bcos sum of my m8's are gettin confused with the raising factor.

say blinds are 25/50. if u raise pre-flop the minimum is 100 right? but if sum1 wanted to re-raise ur 100 there minimum would b 200?

On the flop u bet 200, would there minimum re-raise b 400? Some ppl are saying that on the flop if sum1 raised 200 n they wanted to re-raise they cud put in 325. Is this correct?

Sorry but i dont play much homegames, mostly a online freak lol. Thanks!

The min raise amount is always equal to the difference between the original bet and the previous raise or the bb, whichever is more. So preflop with blinds at 25/50 if someone raises to 125 (a raise of 75) the minimum someone else can reraise is to 200 (125 + 75). Postflop if you lead out for 200 the minimum someone can raise is to 400 (200 + 200) and if some else wants to 3bet the minimum they can make it is 600 (400 +200). Make sense?

I think you are really asking what the minimum raise is. I don't get into all the texting shortcuts. I find them more confusing than anything.

If the blinds are 25/50 the min raise is 50 to a total of 100, if someone wants to re-raise that the minimum raise is still 50 to a total of 150.

Post flop the min bet is 50 but you can bet any amount above that so if they want someone could bet 55 and the the min raise on that would be 55 more to 110.

Yeah, the minimum raise is the last bet.
The big blind counts as a bet (which is why you can be the second person to act and be three-betting).

So with 5/10 blinds, the minimum a guy can raise is $10, making it $20 to go ($10 call, plus the $10 raise) for everybody up to the button ($15 to go for the SB, and $10 to go for the BB).

If the next guy wanted to three-bet that he has to put at least $10 more in, making it $30 to go for most of the people behind him.

Now, if the three-better said he was raising to $77 (a raise of $57) then if the next guy wanted to min-raise four-bet he'd have to put in $134 ($77 to cover the initial raises, +$57 to raise it the amount of the last raise).
