After stopping by to see CSuave on the stick at the craps tables and testing his patience :D , I headed off to the poker room for my usual Friday night session.

My live play keeps getting better. Had a decent session, but I had 3 plays that I could have easily saved myself $60 on the night and made it a nicer profit.

Here's where Live vs Online could have saved me. What was the issue? If I had taken just a little more time on each decision and play I would most likely have made the plays that I decided were most optimal. Okay, I may not have--but at least I would have given myself a chance to.

Online sites and impatient online players push you to play fast--sometimes faster than optimal to make correct decisions. I am going to start slowing down in my online play and think out every play. Go ahead throw the Zzz s at me all you want--I'll have chat off.

I have noticed a lot of players in live play too berating players that took a little extra time to make a call (they usually aren't complaining when you fold). My conclusion is that way too many people do not take into consideration all the information that IS available to them.

This is a game of incomplete information--slow down and make sure you at least have considered all the information available to you before making that call/raise/fold.
