Hey people, Firstly let me just say I aint proud of this post but in the name of sharing and my emotional recovery I am gonna post it.
ok, for those of you who play on Fulltilt and Stars you will know that you can Rail and chat the Big tables on FT but not Stars. I tried unsuccessfully to chat to ADZ124 big NL ringame player even though i had ground my roll up to that limit of buyin" Chat observer turned OFF"
So I think i am real smart and i buyin to a table or 2 and automatically sitout Genius Right? Wrong! on my 3rd attempt at this little scam I got distracted and forgot to sit out before i knew it i hadposted a $50 blind and an UTG player raised 150 at this point im screaming right i got 102off so i regretablly fold next hand i post SB $25(god things happen fast at this level) its folded around to me i have 32off arrrrrrrgh think for like 2secs and raise to 150. Now i had 1 barrel if he raised im obv folding but i think if he called im in just as much trouble bearing in mind my entire bankroll of $1095 is in play here that i have built over like 2 years anyway the happy ending is Thankfully he folded i got my bolt on couldnt stop laughing for like 10mins coz i was so relieved and i finished even. Moral of the story dont bump onions with the Big boys even accidentally like i did:eek: Gl at the tables Damon789 a.ka.Steamer107

I guess you learned your lesson. IMHO the raise to $150 was poor. I would have folded and saw my free hands and probably left down $75.

So....you gonna tell us the juicy part? Who is ADZ124, why did you wanna talk to him/her, and did you get a chance to? What did you say? Enquiring minds. Glad you could recoup.

Seems Damon used up his 7 posts for the day, so he sent me a PM. Then I asked if he wanted me to go ahead and post it for him, and he said yes. So, here it is:

Damon789 the Highroller.
Hey Dive, ty for ur response to my post. Unfortunately being a noob my 7 posts are up for the day so i hope u dont mind this private mess. Ok ADZ124 prob won more $$$ IN Ringames than any one else at 10/20 and above in NL on Stars just a viciuos player ive watched him for a while unfortunately he didnt respond to my chat i think i asked him about the girl he had on his Avatar pic he had removed it something like that. Oh well def learnt my lesson tho. Love this forum btw great set up Gl at the tables

Hey Beer, tx for the post dude. The reason i joined table was because i couldnt chat any other way unless i had $$$ on the table as for wanting to chat with the high rollers well i just wanted to be a little more apart of there world at the High Limits but i found it was cold dark and scary he he once again i learnt my lesson ill stick to railing on FT. peace out

Hey Ukalik, lol thats exactly what my mate said unfortunately at that stage it was 4 handed so even if i had the presence of mind to think of that (obv i was completely devoid of any neural function at that stage) I only had 1 free hand left so i guess you and my mate could be right however I also could of popped ACes and got donked too lol peace out buddy

I guess you learned your lesson. IMHO the raise to $150 was poor. I would have folded and saw my free hands and probably left down $75.
Hey Jordan tx for your post sir, def learnt my lesson there as for my raise with 32off in sb that is just 1 part of the entire situation that was poor but sometimes ya just wanna gamble in Hindsight bad move but as i said in my post I had 1 barrel I was getting even $$$$ 150 for 150 i thought there was a better chance than 50% he would fold so the cards didnt matter I reckon. But you're absolutely right I dont make a habit of raising with the worst Hot n cold hand in holdem even HU.peace out

So if I had a $1,000 BR and lost 2 buyins at $25NL and decided to play $200NL to win back the $50, is that ok if I break even?

No, but you're taking it somewhat out of context.

He accidentally bought into a game that was out of his BR and had to post the SB, though you think he would have just clicked to sit out during the first hand. He didn't, because as he stated, everything happened so fast, he probably was frantic that he was in a hand to begin with and just didn't think to click it. Though I'm sure you can argue he should have folded the small blind and left the table because he has no right playing the round in any case, because risking his entire bankroll on one hand, whether it be A's or K's in the hole, would not be the right move to make. So all-in-all your and his "break-even" cases aren't exactly the same because yours were intentional.

If you have AA, you should still get all in if you can with your whole bankroll on the table. You have an expected value of 160% of your bankroll, which is huge. If you go broke, reload and know that you still made the right decision.

Obviously you don't want to be in this position but once you have an 80/20 edge for your bankroll you have to take it.

Hey buddy, ofcourse im not folding AA If i happenend to wake up with it in the middle of that Nightmare. With only 20 times the BB I aint playing shortball with it either I woulda been "ALL IN BABY" as that drunken Genius Scotty Nguyen would say. he he.

very funny story, glad your mistake didn't dent your bankroll. i read all the posts but still don't understand why you want to talk to these guys. if you got free time on your hand you should be grinding the tables. if your feeling talkative i suggest going out and talking to some fine females, but be careful they can dent your roll too, lol.

RY I dont recommend speaking at table chat as a matter of fact 99% of the time I have mine turned off as i seems to be a big distraction to me. It cuts way down on the crap not haveing to hear the professor trying to coach you or the heckler makeing fun or the guy with the bad beat go on tilt and berate the whole table. I really have never gleemed much use for table chat at all. If im in a tourney i will usually say good luck to the table then off it goes.

I wouldn't get on the table to ask what's the meaning of life. I already know. Squeeze in as many poker hands as I possibly can in between being a Husband, Father and holding down a full time job till I croak. :D :D
