^^^ I really dont know. It's really tight as to whether gus has a bigger full house/quads or 5's full of something. Really tough decision, which probably edges towards calling for the times gus has 5's full. I know i couldn't fold coz i suck

lmfao... Phil would be throwing chairs and having every other word bleeped out for a good 10 minutes--especially because daniel had him beat on the flop.

Honestly? No. He pays off with worse hands when he knows he's beat (and did do once or twice in that same season of HSP, from memory), I think it's gotta be an especially cold day in hell before he folds this one.

It's a wicked cooler, to be sure, but I don't see how he folds it.

I think Daniel can fold this hand , but against Gus who was playing really loose at this sesion he thought he was trying to outplay him. Even Daniel can make bad judgement :). The sick thing is after a while he had the same thing with Lindgren (Daniel floped nuts and got busted by quads again).

Daniel honestly needs to fold there. His hand is like, never good there.

I'm with you there. I think he just was tilty from all the beats he'd been taking up to that point. Time and again flopping the best and getting run down.

Yeah he's got a good hand, but what's making this move here? If Gus had flopped a set with Daniel, both of those hands beat his, 9's full or quads. If the 8 really did help him, then he's probably got 8's full, still ahead of Daniel. Doesn't seem like a move that you'd make with a straight on a paired board at all. What would he be expecting to call that's worse? And after the action does Gus think he's getting FE? Probably not, but I don't play with Gus much either, so I couldn't know for sure. Anyway, if we assume Gus is making this bet because he thinks he's got the best hand and we have a worse hand that can call, the range of possible hands is full houses and quads, and once we get to those, we're behind.

No. The way the hand was played out I don't think any player could fold there. Full credit to Gus, he played that hand to absolute perfection.
