Last month, new legislation, HR 5767, was introduced that would prevent the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve from continuing work on the Unlawful Internet gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA). Currently, a bi-partisan coalition of ten congressional representatives has signed on as cosponsors of the bill. This is a step in the right direction, but we need your help in generating more support.

We encourage you to contact your elected representatives to tell them to support HR 5767 and end the ban on Internet Gambling. Visit Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative to learn more and get involved.

Thank you,

Jeffrey Sandman

It would be nice, but I feel kinda apathetic on the subject. Nothing I do will change the talking heads in Washington that made these stupid laws. They have effectively made internet poker way less profitable for reasons I do not understand. If idiot A wants to bet his house on his flush draw, I don't feel the government has the right to stop him. I'm sick of all these laws protecting people form themselves. But am afraid it is too late to amend the subject at hand. Its the hot ticket in Washington, and I don't feel like too many people in the house will want to be known for repealing the Internet Gambling laws. Kinda sad because the gov't is losing out on millions of taxable dollars that could actually help the school systems.

I support your fight, but don't feel like anything I do will help. The powers that be will keep blaming each other for everything thats going on while failing to do much good.

Vote for Ron Paul. Another prominent poker news website had a fantastic interview. The guy is pure genius. I found it funny that I read articles from poker columnists saying "if you want free internet poker vote democrat" when it's the republican party working to lift the UEIGA. And I would support stuff like this and the PPA. It'll help.

Don't think like that. you're sounding like someone who won't vote for presidency thinking that your ONE vote won't make a difference. please vote and support your cause.

:Di said this in another thread some where, and ill say it again.white man speak with forked tounge.there going to tell you what ever you want to here, but do what ever they want.basicaly if the us government doesnt get its cut from the online gambling world we will all be cut off.does anyone really belive that all the online casinos, poker rooms, sports books, ect.,are actually going to give a cut of there take to the us?i dont think so!eventually ,as much as i hate to say it ,us players will be banned totally.hopefully it would only be a temporary thing ,but who knows.but then again ,who knows what the future holds.guess we wikk all have to wait and see.kinda like the climax in a who dunnit movie.
