Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing around in different poker sites, trying to find my place, but I realized I need to know more about the game before I dive in..
I was thinking of starting off with some poker flash games, no money involved, to see how it goes.
Any suggestions?
Tips?

whats a poker flash game? but if your totally knew to poker i'd suggest starting with sit and goes. i think these are the easiest game to learn and you could learn and use the correct strategy in a plachip game as well as a real money game.

...your right with the no money comment...unless your 100% sure ur good enough to lpay real money, i wouldnt suggest it...Id recommend full tilt poker...they have alot of good freeerolls, and these are something id really recommend...im only starting to get serious now, and ive found that hving played about 1000 hours worth of freerolls,i have decent experiecne.also, read books, tips.wacth videos, absolutely anything cause you CANNOT have too much experience.

you don't have to play flash games to learn the game for free.....poker sites like Full Tilt and pokerstars allow you to play with pretend money. You will learn the game playing on these sites than you would in a flash game.

Most free games are an all in fest. You're not going to learn anything but how to lose real money. Put the min on a site and play micro stakes and read all you can. If you go to Full Tilt they have the academy. You can watch videos of the pros teaching. It will help you a lot.

I'd skip flash games. The games on Facebook and Yahoo and such are much worse than the play money games on Full Tilt and PokerStars, so you may learn some terrible habits.

If you play the FT & PS play money tables not only can you play freerolls (for real $) but you'll be familiar/comfortable with the software layout, so if you ever decide to play for real money there's no software adjustment period.

I find the FT freerolls are a good place to gain some experience, that's how I started. You might even win some free money as long as you are willing to play for 4-6 hours. That's when you get a few hands under your belt and can out last the donk's.
