Help with Auto Hot Key

I haven't really used auto hot key before, other than table highlight function and that's it. I was wondering if its possible to (umm whats the right word for it) I guess program certain keys on my keyboard. I would like to just be able to hit certain keys on my keyboard and not have to type the number in. I want the Z-to be 2.5x X to be 3x C to be 3.5x V to be 4x and B to be pot. If someone that understands more about this stuff could tell me if this is possible and explain to me how to do it, I would really appreciate it, thanks for your time.

I haven't used it, either, but I think it is possible. Have you checked http://overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/AutoHotKey? There's one called Bet Pot http://overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/BetPot that looks like it would work. Seems like the main problem is recognizing how much the pot is in order to do the calculation, so they recommend simple themes. If you try it out before me, please let me know if it works.

I do this (not for poker, but for other purposes) with a program called ShortKeys, www.shortkeys.com. They have a "Lite" version that's free.

You can input keyboard shortcuts and what you want them to expand to, and whenever you type the shortcut you'll get the full character string. I use it, for example, to display my full name by typing only my initals.

Just make sure you have it turned off when you don't want to use it, or you'll be typing things you don't want all the time!
