Who in your opinion is the best overall player

Hellmuth because of how many bracelets he's won. Then Ivey because he's a mastermind. Then Daniel because of his reads. Doyle is a joke.

Doyle Brunson is a joke???? Please elaborate....he in his prime could read ppl like no other and has the 2nd most wsop bracelets...

Negreanu because he’s Canadian like me.

Brunson because he’s a legend.

Ivey because Hellmuth has to be last because he’s so annoying.

Doyle is far better than all those guys.....

Not really... He's a great tournament no-limit player. However that is not the only poker game that exist.

The question was who is a better poker player.

U can say Daniel Negreanu than bc he made the most money

Pro Players

Phil Hellmuth is the guy. Read his strategy chapters in "Phil Hellmuth's Texas Holdem" by Collins. Great strategy book. Spells it out for you. 2nd in the money, though?

Brunson is next. Gotta respect a fella that has done so well for so long. No matter $ wise. Read his book, "online poker" and "Super System", more impressed with Phil's, though.

Negreanu is right up there too. Love his "winning personality". Read several books of his, "Holdem Wisdom for all Players" and "Power Holdem Strategy".

Phil Ivey is next. One of the greatest and top of the line money winners. Appears he's not one to write on poker much.

I am personally fond of those who got there, stay there, have a punch-like personality, and share their knowledge. All combined, and reading the books, watching u-tube, tv, etc, Hellmuth is the guy.

I like your list.... just 1 question do you think Johnny Chan is above any of these players?
