Hi all,

have you seen a certain move or play made by a poker player which has made you think..wow - that was good, i will use that myself?

Considering the art of check raising and bluff calling/bluff betting, what are the moves you can recall or what makes you admire someone who out plays you?

I appreciate it can all depend on the texture of the board, the effective stacks and players and other environmental factors but i can remember a guy playing 44 against my JJ on a board of 4 10 8 offsuit and checking all the way down to entice me to bet out on turn and river..he calmly checked back, raised on the river which was a 6sp and then instead of pusing all in..he raised two thirds of the pot which made me decide to call..river was a 10...

all in all - i liked his play, it was obviously made easy by the river boat but hey ho

I quite often see certain moves of opponents and adopt them myself in the category of self-study, why? Because I do not consider myself a bad player and if I was able to get into a trap, it is very likely that another player will also fall for the bait. I think 60 percent of my poker arsenal, namely, receptions, bluffs - is borrowed from other players.

Always find it amazing when someone can bluff off the majority of their stack. Find myself on that sometimes. always what the hell was I thinking!
