I posted this in another thread, but wanted to repost in its own thread...

If you haven't purchased the Harrington On HoldEm (tournament series) books you can get them for almost nothing at buy.com.

The total price for the books is $53. If you apply and are accepted for their 'Revolution Card' you get a $50 instant rebate on any purchase. I just went through the process yesterday and ended paying a total of $3 or the 3 books. They shipped today and I expect them shortly.

I don't know whether that is a store card, but the trick with storecards is to open the account, use the introductory offer, pay it off in full (so you don't pay any interest), then shred the card and never use it again.

They are only $29.95 each. If you do what they teach you in poker, they will pay for themselves in no time. You can even get them used or with a coupon at a book store.

But for anyone who is considering ebooks on CD, they are not the way to go. Mr. Harrington doesn't deserve to be ripped off like that.

Not sure on the interest rate...probably pretty high.

I just pay it off in full or cut it up like Furries said. I'm not a huge fan of credit cards, but I do like the freebies they give out when you sign up.
