I do not know about most of you, but I think the hardest thing is trying to stay patience during a game. So often I notice that I get bored and when I get bored I will sometimes make a stupid play or play a hand I normally would not play. I get annoyed and frustrated, because I am not getting a good hand.

I love the game and I know it is part of playing poker, however I notice it is harder when I play online. I turn on some music and wait and wait and sometimes I do not get anything decent and just want to go all in with an A 4 when I get it.

Well that is all I have to say about that. What are your thoughts or comments??

I agree, being card dead is very frustrating. If I start playing hands that I know I shouldn't be playing I will pull out the list of "rules" I have created for myself. It helps me get focused again.

When you are not in a hand, try and put the others on a hand.
Also, try multi-tabling....

I agree, and also when you are not getting hands going on tilt can happen fast and you lose what you've so hard to get for sometimes hours

I finally had to develop a structured methodology to combat this problem. This methodology allows me to avoid these mind hand problems.

do not take it so personally .... try while waiting for a good hand look how are playing other opponents and analyze their game.

Find something to 'fill in the gap of time' to prevent boredom ... must stay focused on the game at hand, how you and others are playing, player profiles and tendencies, and hand ranges etc

What works for one player may not work for another so "find your specific way" (your methodology) to prevent from getting bored, getting distracted, and going on tilt....all these are a form of tilt.

That is the great thing about online, once you can multitable you don't really have to worry about being card dead, but yea live is so slooooow.

Hardest thing for me is tilting lately, after I know it is a bad call. And what do I do? I call. Then I steam in my head with all these negative thoughts preoccupying me, while I go to spew town and before you know there goes a few buy ins.

Same here mate , same as you I get bored often too (when i get bored , cant sit at one spot at that time i want to stand up to take brake to refresh my mind , cant concentrate , cant play and sometimes i pay big all-in with hands like A 4). Terrible player , i must to work on my game otherwise i must quit this game.
