i will be traveling to Vegas next June for my 21st birthday and want to play a little poker while at the casinos. The only trouble is have cerebral palsy and therefore don't have good motorskills and can't manipulate my chips. Will the casinos allow someone to do it for me. Can the dealer?

I'm really not sure but that is an interesting question. I would hope they would make some accommodation because it seems like it would be pretty simple. Good luck!

From what I've seen on TV and on Live at the Bike, casinos try to be accommodating. I suggest you contact the casinos ahead of time to discover what is acceptable.

Cheers!

Not sure if this will work for you, but I played with a blind person before and the person with them would whisper what the cards were. Then the blind player would announce their action and the other person made the bets/folded the cards.

So if you have someone that's coming with you I think you'll be fine. As others said, casinos try to be very accommodating.

I don't believe they'll let the dealer be the person that handles your stack though. Maybe if you explain the situation to the pit they'll make an exception, but that would very likely be an exception.

That's incredible! Brave man playing poker blind, probably highly intelligent too.

I'm a dealer - talk to the floor manager beforehand and you should be fine. You may have to verbally declare all your bets before your guest put the chips in the pot for you, and the guest will not be able to look at your hand.
