i kinda lost u with the Jay Heimowitz comparision because hes not in the HOF.
i guess ur trying to say that bracelets shouldnt be the only judgemental factor in being elected to the hof and thats right it isnt.
i dont think jay is the best example to use though lol. jay really hasnt done anything in the last few yrs. his wins are very good but they come like every 5-10 yrs it seems lolol and they are too sporadic to show he dominated the scene.
same with harrington. he won the the main event -unreal and also won another bracelet in 95, but besides those final table appearances in the last 5 yrs at the ME hasnt done anything. ooooh he got that wpt title which is awesome but still its just 3 titles and a few final tables.
and u really couldnt compare him to some1 like tomko whos in the HOF and who has a similiar tourn record at the wsop
to dan because dewey has been one of the best hi stakes cash game players for yrs and yrs and yrs . . .lolol.
i just dont see dan doing enough, like promoting poker or doing something else and hes never really dominated poker for a nice time span. he dominated in 95 then he had those 2 awesome runs at the ME final tables like ten yrs after the main event win but where was he inbetween those yrs?
but maybe im missing something about dan harrington.
but his tourn record doesnt seem like a valid reason to get into the HOF right now
