"What" Phil Hellmuth is is one of the most intellectual players of Poker. He isn't necessarily the best psychological reader but he knows statistics and situations from a physical card perspective like no other poker player I've seen. He is almost faster than the grinding bot programs at hand analysis.

I think the best for your game would be to balance both - greed and fear.
In some moments they could help you win, and loose in other situations! However, I still continue to meet some rather greedy players on the felts :D

 but he is one of the best tournament player and a very unlucky at the cash table! how can he be "one of the most intelectual players of Poker" ? (thats from what you write before) You say that cash games players is more smarter, so you must to know what Dusty Schmidt (one of the best cash players) says:

:top: nice book, you must to read it! and one more " Treat Your Poker Like a Business " by Dusty Schmidt will be great lecture for you

with what you write you just compromising yourself!

Because he probably has some mild autistic spectrum disorder, he struggles very much with coping emotionally with bad beats, consecutive cooler hands and in general the entire psychological side of poker which means he can't read people that well or put himself in their shoes. This is why despite being a brilliant gambler, he is not the best poker player as when it comes down to close calls, he tends to either choke or remain really unhappy even if he wins it due to the stress which means he doesn't feel like playing much afterwards. Also, he has the bankroll to play a lot of wsop games due to pay from underbet.com which is ironic as he never under bets.
