format apr2007

Well I am trying to get into other Poker Stars freeroll tournaments.

It says the answer is in Format apr2007.

Like the question earlier in this thread I do not understand what that means.

Exactly what part are you not understanding? If they say the format is "apr2007" then I would think they obv want a date for the answer where the first three characters are the first three letters of the correct month in lower case and the next four characters are the four digit year. So September 2005 would be sep2005 and July 1999 would be jul1999. That is the format, so if that's what you're doing, then your answer is most likely wrong.

Well - if they include the day of the month as they did in the first example it does get a little complicated for Americans who are not aware that Europeans do it opposite of us. For example when I first met my husband he said his birthday was 12/04 - so for a while I thought it was Dec 4th when actually it is April 12th. So 3/2/06 is feb2006 - not mar2006.

Ah, excellent point Daks. I honestly hadn't considered the the OP was non-American and would do the date wrong like the rest of the world :)p ;) :D ). And I'm sitting here now thinking of a couple other variations that could also be applied as well.

I think this all stems from the whole metric system problem anyway. :) We really need to get away from the whole archaic base 10/decimal thing anyway, it's so unnatural. Hexadecimal (base 16) is so much more natural to the human mind anyway and would solve many issues in the world. :D
