Can people please post their advice on whats considered good stats for a SNG player. Whats a good ROI etc. I am currently grinding to becoming a winning sng player on carbon just looking for some goals to set for myself and my stats to be at by the end of the month.

What stakes are you playing at? A "good" SnG ROI drops quickly the higher in stakes that you go.

Really anything above zero is 'good' seeing as the majority of players are losing players, but I guess that's not what you're asking. I think the absolute limit long-term is 15-20%, with 10% being a relatively achievable goal if you're a good player.

(This is assuming single-table turbos. Multi-table SNGs and/or slower structures will knock possible/achievable ROIs up a few percentage points)

Ignore ROI. Set volume and study goals instead. Dedicate yourself to improving. Good luck.

TU SnG

TUs have good value but a little more variance than the double ups. TUs take a little longer as well. I'd say an ROI of 15% to 20% sb good for these.

Thanks for the replies, I think for now I'm going to shoot for 10-15%.

To Lucothefish:
I will have volume and study goals set to go with this goal also

The problem with setting some hard and fast ROI number, or winrate for cash games, is that it affects your psychology when you aren't in that range. It's far better to focus on constantly playing well, looking for leaks, not tilting, etc. The winnings/earnings just fall naturally into place.

Don't underestimate how much a poor run of cards (which in SNGs can be thousands of SNGs) can destroy your ROI in the short term. And the subsequent effect this will have on your motivation to play if you are starting at your ROI numbers every day hoping to fit into that magical range.
