Hi guys, I am fairly new at playing poker. I have been playing online for about six months and have played for a few years here and there for fun. I have recently been getting a lot more serious about it. If anyone knows of any really good books that i could learn a lot from please let me know. Thanks.

IMHO, Dan Harrington's books are required reading for new players. I've been playing for years and of all of the books I have on poker, those are some that I really like and find myself going back to.

I would suggest Harrington's as well as Super System I & II by Brunson.

The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky is also a very popular one.

All 3 of Harrington's books without doubt.

The first poker book I read was Super System, and, at first it confused the S* out of me. But I read it again a couple weeks (and a couple hundred more hours of poker experience) later, and it helped me out a lot.
Good Luck!

I guess I would join the line and agree that Harrington is the best there is. I only got the first volume and planning to order the 2nd one next weekend. I really think Vol 1 is a must for every beginning poker player :) Hope you enjoy it and GL.
