Hey guys,

Just got back to my hotel room after wandering around at the City of Dreams for the APT Main Event with my shiny new media pass!!

Watching the action directly beside the tables as Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Johnny Chan, John Juanda, Jeffrey Lisandro, Joe Hachem, JC Tran and others duke it out is quite a thrill.

How's this for a hand.

Dwan min raises UTG and it's folded around to Chau Giang in the BB. Dwan starts talking, saying, "You don't want to play this hand with me." Giang calls and the flop come AJ4 rainbow. Giang check-calls. Turn is a 9, putting a flush draw on the turn. Giang check-calls Durrrr's bet again. River is a J.

Giang leads out and Dwan makes about a 1/2 pot size raise. Giang "just" calls with.....

What do you think? :)

You really expect us to be able to make a read on the world's best players based on a loosely written rundown on the hand? If i had to hazard a guess, then I'd say he probably called him down weak as this hand isn't a point of interest otherwise. Also I think its pretty uncharacteristic of Dwan to starting talking after a solitary preflop action.

Giang "just" calls.

Dwan flashes a J, pretty confident he has the best hand and Giang turns over the second nuts - AJ.

Dwan says, "You just called?" and the table starts ripping into Giang a bit.

Today was pretty interesting as well. Dwan was playing in a giant cash game in a private suite all night. He came down today about 30 minutes late, shoved the first hand dealt to him (T4o), hit his hand to more than double up, and was close to the chiplead.

He promptly left again to play in the cash game and allowed his stack to get blinded out for 4 hours. Returned with around 15-20BBs and busted shortly thereafter. Word is he's making a killing in the cash game though.

I love Macau.
