for me I was in a $40.00 buy in 60 man down my casino, and I was in a hand with a pretty big guy about, 20 stone (280 lbs) he had a goatie beard & specs baseball cap.

anyway I held KQ suited he had Ace King 'I flopped the nut flush!' so he starts betting into me as checked the flop, check raise the turn he callls and on the river, I take about a minute in the tank... knowing he has called my check raise with top pair maybe 2 pair. ''I know i've won the hand''
I look at my cards for about 5 seconds, then look him in the eyes, glance back at the cards for a moment and I decide to raise for 80% of his stack,
he makes the call, - sees the flush,

the Guy SLAMS! his cards down on the table, and starts sulking like a little girl in a childish voice, omg im too good for these fish who want's a 4 way cut on 300 pound anyway,
starts calling me names practically crying an he then goes in blind out of turn every single hand for an orbit, he then gets moved tables, causes carnage over there and he's finally kicked out of the casino,
was hilarious some of the stuff he was saying to people was Unbelievableee!
this all because of one hand he lost to a flush lolll
some people are just pure entertainment value!
anyone had any beauty's like this before ?

Wlooking back at your cards hint to him a flush was possible if he hadn't already seen it? Don't mean to critique, still very funny. That's just obvious when I play with players in home games.

At a league near me, lady bluffs all in, small bald man goes in the tank for a good 3 minutes, then calls. Woman acts disgusted and throws her pure bluff away, Q 6 on a K 10 7 3 3 board with no flush possible. She mucks it face up after he called but they touched the dead cards. Old man cracks up, takes the toothpick out of his mouth, and flips over Q 6 as he rakes in the chips.

Nothing quite as good as that but I heard a story last night in a tournament.

Jamie Gold was going to be playing in a tournament at a casino in Iowa and the guy who was telling the story was signing up for the tournament and some one walks up to him and goes "So you're playing in this tournament?" the guy says yup "Cool!" guy= ...yah... "You're Jamie Gold aren't you?!?!" guy points over to Jamie Gold "That would be that guy right over there"

For me it was maybe not the most funny, but most curious for sure :) It was small MTT in casino in my city. Final table and AA vs AA vs KK situation. Ofcourse it was all-in preflop and everybody who were watching it prayed for K... and it came on flop :D Anyway we had good laugh about it

lol sound like a couple of charachters to me! Im gona go back soon for a laugh donk night is usually friday here.
as for the hand with the flush granted it was a massive tell, but he was on a low level and trying to bully everyone I knew he would read me as weak because I was playing ultra tight upto then and made some folds when i had acted in the same manor

I will never forget this hand , years ago we played 7 stud hi/lo with joker and 5 aces was considered the nuts. You had to declare high , low or hog (both high and low) if you went hog you had to beat both or you took nothing .

A fellow at the table picked up 4 aces+ joker and 2 wheel cards and after looking at his hand he showed it to the person behind him and asked -Do I have what I think I have? The onlooker said -I don't know , what do you think you have? At this point he says "Hog" , another player declares low and beats him at showdown as he is playing a pair.

The whole table as well as onlookers fall out in laughter for a substantial amount of time chiding him about being the only person able to lose with the absolute nuts , he had to endure that story for as long as I worked there every time we played or spoke of playing .

I miss those days , poker everyday at work, fun group to boot.

haha it isn't as funny as yours but it gave me a good laugh, I was playing at my local casino in a $1/$2 cash game, and this guy sits down with a beer and he buys in for $100 so as he starts playing its obvious he doesn't play often and would play almost every hand, eventually the table starts to raise him rags but this guy doesn't fold so he would keep loose calling and it was working for him because someone tried to bluff him he ended up taking down a pretty good pot bringing his stack to around $250 which made another player who folded to the original bluffer start steaming.... anyways the guy continues drinking and had to of had about 6 beers in 2 hours (and he was tipsy when he sat down) needless to say it wasn't long before he donated it all back.
Another funny one was in a cash game with my friends and one of my buddies got cleaned out his $100, but being the poker fiend that he was he pulled out his ipod and offered it to the highest bidder (which was $50) so he bought back in and lost that $50 too. Lmao rough day for him.

I was in a local casino, and a guy at my table and this other girl were clearly drunk. I wasn't complaining of course, I wouldn't mind him shiping off his money to me at all. He wasn't making a big scene or anything by any means. but I remember he got up with the girl and headed to the bar which is only like ten steps from the tables. While they were taking their shots another girl walked in lol turned out to be his girlfriend, apparently he told her he was with buddies or something lol he got smacked and lost his dignity It was pretty funny you could hear the whole poker room laughing and cheering. haha good times be good to your ladies gentleman.

This story reminds me of why I hate high-low declare. I would much rather play with a qualifier (or even better, no qualifier).

I think the one that stands out for me happened when I knocked out a foreign guy (central american I think?) from a local casino tournament. I scored two for one in a double knockout hand.

I was on the button with J9h

The flop came out: 7 9 5 rainbow

Bb shoves his small stack all in, aggro central american player calls, I also call.

Turn comes with a neutral 10, he checks, I check.

River is the 8 giving me the total nuts. This player pushes all of his chips in triumphantly aggressive and I quietly call.

He turns over 56 with a smile beaming for the whole table. When I show the higher straight he COMPLETELY FLIPS.

Lots of bad words I won't post here and then he throws his cards at the pot/dealer and slams his fist before walking out of the casino. Lulz

Friendly live sit-n-go at my buddy's house years ago with about 6 players total. Extremely small buy-in ($5 - hey, we were barely out of high school!). I didn't want to play at all in the first place and was in a piss-poor mood, so I call my buddy's preflop raise with 25o a few hands into the game. Flop comes A38. He bets big. I call. Turn comes J, he bets big, I call. River is a 4, he goes all-in, I call. He flips over AA, I flip over my straight. He splashes his chips all over the table in front of me despite having some chips left over, starts yelling, then turns the lights off in his house and goes to his room for the rest of the night.

Late night game in a casino poker room - only about 2-3 tables going, $1/$2 NL. A man walks in with a woman (pretty sure she was a hooker based on their behavior and her dress), leaves her at the bar, and sits down next to me. I can immediately tell he's HAMMERED. He loses a couple pots, goes on full tilt, and starts raising outrageous amounts without looking at his cards and while acting tough.

One hand, he goes "I'll just call this one." I call with AJ, flop comes AJJ. He immediately goes all-in, I call, he busts. He buys in again, and with a pompous tone of voice, says "I'm not even looking at my cards - ALL-IN!" Everyone folds, I look down at AA, call, he has trash and busts again. I ended up taking $200-$300 from him in under 30 minutes, and another guy at the table ended up taking $400 from him in the same period of time. Unfortunately he wasn't buying in for the max amount.

In a tournament at Harrah's, I saw casino security and a couple of police officers arrest this dude about halfway into the tournament.

From what I've heard, he was cheating or using counterfeit chips or paid in counterfeit money or something like that. Caused an interesting scene for about 5 minutes.

This happened out in Vegas at Boulder Station last month. I couldn't believe what I saw. It was in a $2-$4 limit game.

Pre-flop
UTG rasied
UTG+1 re-raised
fold
MP1 looked at his cards and they were exposed to MP2 and myself in the high jack spot. He had AA and re-re-raised.
MP2 folded
I folded K 10 os
button and blinds folded
UTG called
UTG+1 capped it
Both UTG +1 and MP called

The flop was A Q J rainbow
UTG bet
UTG+ 1 raised
MP mucked trip aces and got up from the table
MP1 and I looked at each other in disbelief.
The turn and river were bricks
UTG had K 10 and UTG+1 had pocket jacks
The guy in MP had actually made what turned out to be a good fold.

You'd think the casino would definetly be ontop of that since Online is threatening to take ppl off the tables and gives ppl another reason to play on their computers.

Anyways I was playing $1-3 live... had AA and well i hit the flop with trips and this Italian guy bets all in thinking he has it... Ofc i can put a great act on at the best of times and i don't look threatening and just weak so it works for me... I turn it over and he stands up and goes THIS DOESNT HAPPEN TO ME NOT BY YOU!!!! :) ... well 2 weeks later i'm sitting with him again on the opposite side and well i flushed him on the river and i got his entire stack again lol... He was awfully quiet when he lost that and walked off *grunted* ... but i guess it does happen to him :)

Another time this guy is a reg Irish guy... Drinks a lot but it's all an act he knows his odds his percentages... And just watching ppl fall into his trap thinking he's just trashed playing luck and seeing him get chips off them was great. *just another tip why it's just so important to be quiet and watch whats going on* you learn who is playing.

Fish sit down at poker table in the Palms casino

This happened years ago so I may not have a great recollection of all the details, but I'll do my best. I was a player at a 2/5 NL $500 buy in table at the Palms in 2004 plus or minus a year. This might have been at the peak of my poker prowess, so I was not intimidated easily and I could tell there were a few hot shot regulars at the table and mingling in the card room, scoping out the tables for fish. I was playing tight and also waiting for the right players to enter the game and was up maybe 500 when in walks two obvious beginners and I mean real beginners. They didn't know the table etiquette, how to bet without string betting, and were constantly betting out of turn, etc. When everyone in the cardroom realized these guys were novices, the card sharks were salivating wanting in line to be sitting at the table for the kill. Both had wads of 100s in their pockets and you could tell money was not a problem and they had no fear only poker nievete.

What transpired over the next 2 to 3 hours was truly remarkable in how beginners luck was bestowed upon these two players like I had never seen in my entire life. These two had to have been born with golden horseshoes up their asses. It was so amusing to see all the suck outs, big cards, big hands, even with terrible starting cards they won with to say the least. They must have busted out at least 10 players and both had stacks of maybe 4000 to 5000 each and they all of a sudden decided they had enough and had to meet their girlfriends at a dance club within a few minutes. I've never seen so many sad faces at a poker table in my entire life. To see all these young hustlers get taken for all their money on what I have to say was the biggest rush I have ever seen by two novice card players ever in my entire life. I lost about 500 myself and choose only to play premium hands and try to get heads up with either one and it simply made no difference, these two could not lose.

Everyone was in shock and no one could stop talking about the two poker novices that the poker gods protected against all the greedy card sharks that afternoon in the Palms poker room.
