Woohoo. Full tilt are in an absolutely perfect position to takeover the top spot in the online poker industry, and I couldn't think of anyone better to do the job.

As we are sure you are all aware, the U.S. Congress recently passed new legislation that may eventually have a significant impact on the online poker industry.

While the intent of this new legislation is to eventually prevent the transfer of funds from U.S. banks to online gaming sites, we assure you that there will be no short-term impact on our business. In fact, unlike many of our competitors, we have no intention of abandoning our U.S. customers. We plan to continue our normal operations while the regulators, the banking industry and, very likely, the judicial system hammer out all of the details regarding this legislation.

Most importantly, we want you to know that all monies entrusted to Full Tilt Poker from our customers remain completely safe and secure, and that all players and affiliates will be able to transfer funds to and from Full Tilt Poker as usual, using all of our normal payment processors. In short, while the long-term outlook for the industry is likely to change in some fashion, Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide its players and affiliates with the best online poker experience in the world.

Way to go fulltilt.

Yes well done to Full Tilt ( for now ) I hope you had the foresight to wine and dine these guys so as to let all our CC games go ahead there before the stampede from other Forums etc overwhelm them.
At least these guys are holding firm, hats off.

Full Tilt and Absolute will be the new frontrunners. Both have been very reassuring when I emailed them. I like both sites so, sweet!

This is great. I've never played there, but I'll happily give my business to them. Their stance is exactly why I will play at sites like them and will NEVER (or never again) play at any site that has currently turned their back on US players.

Hey, anyone know where I could find a link to a bonus code for Full Tilt?;)

Problem for me: Full Tilt is just about the only poker site that, for some reason, makes you certify that you are 21 years of age in order to register... all the other poker sites say 18 : (

What's that all about anyway? (I'm 19).

Dear Qhr1s0,

Full Tilt Poker is here to stay!

As an online poker player, you have probably heard about the new legislation passed by the U.S. Congress earlier this week that attempts to prevent you from being able to transfer money to online gaming sites.

While this new law has prompted some sites to announce plans to abandon the U.S. market in coming days, we assure you that Full Tilt Poker will continue to provide all of its players - both inside and outside of the United States - with a full complement of real money ring games and tournaments for their enjoyment.

After consultation with numerous legal experts in this field, we want to make you aware of the following:

* Legal
The new U.S. legislation does not in any way attempt to criminalize the act of you playing online poker. By playing online at Full Tilt Poker, you are not breaking any U.S. Federal laws.

* Full Access
The passage of the new Internet Gaming law will not have any impact on your day-to-day experience at Full Tilt Poker. We will provide all of our players, everywhere in the world, with full access to all of our games and tournaments.

* Easy Deposits and Withdrawals
We will continue to provide our players with all of the safe, secure and convenient methods for transferring money to and from the site. In fact, in recent discussions with our payment processors, we have been assured that this new law will have no immediate impact on their day-to-day business. And as always, any monies that you have on deposit with Full Tilt Poker remain completely safe and secure.

Furthermore, we firmly believe that online poker is not encompassed by this new legislation. In any event, we will continue to lobby for an express carve-out for online poker and for your right to play a truly American game from the privacy of your own home and computer.

We are excited about the future here at Full Tilt Poker and in the coming weeks and months, we plan to roll out many new features designed to enhance your online poker experience.

We appreciate your loyalty to our site and, in turn, want you to know that we will remain loyal to our valued players in the United States and throughout the world.
We look forward to seeing you at the table.

Sincerely,

Full Tilt Poker

I'm sure Nick is in the process of ironing out a solution now but I plan to talk to him later about it anyway.

I'd imagine it's unfortunately a little more complex a problem than simply choosing to move events, for various reasons.

Pokerstars will lose a lot of business if they do pull out.

Well, i got my notice from Titan. It is official, they closed my real money account. All I can do is get funds out. My balance on Titan is now zero and I've uninstalled their software as of this morning.

Here is what I received...
Due to the recent passing of the Unlawful gambling Enforcement Act by the United States Senate on September 30, 2006, and its imminent enactment as federal law, we will no longer allow real money gaming activities from United States residents.

We regret to inform you that, consequently, we are closing your gaming account at Titan Poker.

Your balance is available to you. You may access your account and request the withdrawal of such balance, subject to any conditions that might apply, including bonuses received.

We appreciate your patronage, and apologize for any inconvenience caused. We hope to be able to offer to you our services again in the future.

And here is the reply I sent them to vent on their crap...

You have the nerve to write "We hope to be able to offer to you our services again in the future. "????
**** you. You close my account in some chicken shit preemptive move, turn your back on ALL American players, and then hope to do business with me again. LOL Not only will your site NEVER see my business again, but I will make sure to let everyone I know in any EVERY community that I frequent (including and especially internet forums) how shitty Titan is being in all of this with the hopes of convincing ALL U.S players to never do business with you again.

P.S. Don't bother replying to this with your horseshit explanation (as if you'd actually even take the time). I've added you to my junk mail sender list, blocked your e-mail, and reported you to my ISP as an unwanted Spammer.

I think Titan's new policy is to automatically delete any e-mails received from US residents. They are afraid that they might get into trouble because someone writing to them from the US would likely be a poker player. And they don't want to be associated to US poker players.

I'm playing at a table right now. My amount in my account was to small to withdraw to neteller so I have to build it up higher.

What I want to know is what about our freerolls there and the contest we are running?
