So this is very disapointing to us all ofcourse and I think there is no way to really know if they exist or not at this point. But I'm not going to sit by and let these poker sites get away with it without a fight or getting a clear answer and relavent assurance that we are not being cheated. This is complicated and we as players have to ask ourselves, what can we do to resolve this situation ?. Do I really believe these sites aren't taking advantage of us all, who want to have some fun and maybe make a few bucks while we are at it ? or am I just the only one who seems to get the worst bad beats in the world at the worst times? I am at a loss to try and figure out what someone can do to give me peace of mind that we are not being cheated. Sure everyone goes through bad beats and we live through it. But with all these rumors out there it makes things even worse to wonder if I've been cheated out of my hard earned money. and all these poker pro's that promote the sites gets me thinkin they are part of it all. A huge scheme designed to scam people out of their money. only thing I can think of is to have third party computer programers or software programers/developers to investigate their software/operation and come up with some kinda solution or governance of all the poker sites combined. They would be like the police of online gambling and they would have software that could detect a possible cheater. And let us as players know that we can be sure that there is no way we are going to be cheated and if we are, they get sued and the players who lost any money there would get paid and they go to jail. I do not know how we may be able to make this happen and if it is even possible. If any of you have any idea on this matter please let me know. Im going to do some research to see what I can come up with.

Just wondering what does Bots have to do with Bad Beats? Also while on the topic what does the RNG have to do with it at all also? Or the developers of the RNG? Your thread stars by talking about bots, then the RNG, then the developers of the RNG, then a scheme to take "our" money. Sounds like a 24 conspiracy if you ask me.

But all I can say is a Bad Beat, maybe post some hands, and let the better players on here try to resolve why the hand played out as it did.

All I can really say.

Just curious though, why you believe bots are involved in this at all?

:marchmell maybe there should be a separate bot sub-forum. As well as a bingo sub-forum.

edit: oh, and maybe also one for surveys about gambling

I'm just saying in general how we can be sure to actualy come to a conclusion that there are no bots, there are no cheaters that are looking at your cards or the flops before we can see them or anything like that.

You realize there is already an ongoing thread on this (on the front page no less)...and that this is the players' lounge?

Once again, do you realise this discussion is being held in the proper forum section for it? There is absolutely no need to make thread after thread about bots, esp. in the wrong forum section.

No denying they exist, but at the same time Kudo's to all the major poker sites that continuosly research and impliment programming to catch bots. Have you've noticed that the main sites update their software every few days, much like a good anti-virus program does? Now you know why. They also have security teams that invesigate any supected cheater of any sort.

If we come off sarcastic it is only because we do grow weary of rigged/scam/my pocket AA's lost threads, esp. when there are similar threads going and people start new ones in inappropriate places such as the players lounge.

I highly recomend the look before you leap strategy before starting a thread......

and no it isnt a post concerning a hand that I lost . its a patern I noticed that can lead to suspicion. it has nothing to do with a hand so weak as aces.

An appology to D'wilius and WVHillbilly is in order, Fothizz. They try to help you so you turn and flame them?

FullTilt has the fastest ban hammer in the industry. Only a fool would try to use a bot on there.

If I was a mod, OP would get banned for slander.

Title of the thread has nothing to do whatsoever with the content of his post, which is a standard "OMG, rigged!", "I can't believe all the bad beats!" thread. FTP makes it possible to datamine by observing tables, so people have databases with millions of hands in them. If there was anything funny with their RNG, i can garantee you it would be revealed. About bots, they have a very active policy of going after suspicious activities (probably a lot more often collusion than bots, btw) and a very fast ban hammer. A bit too fast actually as they seem to have temporarily banned a couple of legitimate short-stackers while investigating their play.

All in all, a very reputable poker room as far as we can tell, and slandering them is a shame.

ok yes advent, you are right, d'willius and wvhillbilly I wasn't actually reffering to you when I said no retards are allowed to post here, anyways they know who they are. also to mrmuckets and Belgosuisse, thank you for giving me a clearer picture of how the industry works and sticking to the subject at hand. I guess I should have known there are already conditions in place for such occurances.

Could we get the names of these bots so that we can watch out for them? I didn't see them in here, but I was scanning. Maybe I missed them?

Just want to keep an eye out for them myself. Thanks guys.

I hope this keeps going, it may beat me out for dumbest thread. Congratulations. And a special award for most repetitive post, winner being any new 'rigged' thread...

What would help, fothizz, is to do your research - FIRST.

Sites do have programs to intercept and/or detect bots. The sites themselves, especially reputable ones, have no need for bots. They make quite enough from the rakes we all pay.

There's no 'situation to resolve'. The resolution to 'your situation' is - if you think the sites aren't being fair, don't play online.

Your 'worst bad beats' are more likely a result of selective memory. First - there are 'beats' and 'bad beats'. Getting your TPTK beat by a straight is just a plain ol' 'beat'. Better hand takes the pot. A true 'bad beat' range starts with having your flopped full house beat by rivered quads.

Research some more and find the articles about the millions that Mike Matasow lost ONLINE. When his brother had to remove the computer from Mike's house to keep him from going broke. Sponsored pros are nothing more than the any other 'pro' or 'star' who gets a deal to endorse a product.

Sites DO have outside firms validate their 'random' performance. Here's a link to the pokerstars security page to read: http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/features/security/
Part of that page reads:
"PokerStars shuffle verified by Cigital and BMM International
PokerStars submitted extensive information about the PokerStars random number generator (RNG) to two independent organizations. We asked these two trusted resources to perform an in-depth analysis of the randomness of the output of the RNG, and its implementation in the shuffling of the cards on PokerStars.
Both independent companies were given full access to the source code and confirmed the randomness and security of our shuffle. Visit online poker Random Number Generator for more details."

But you would have known that - after some research.

Don't get me started on RNG's.... :D :D ... Readers here have seen me write enough on that subject.
