PT3 had a lot of bad press because they released it far too early before all the bugs were sorted. Some of us went over to HEM which was a lot more stable and I must admit, it gives me everything I need from a tracking software. For that reason I'm a HEM fan.

Try em both for free and decide for yourself. I prefer PT3, but HEM is very nice as well.

PT3 has a 90 day trial, very generous IMO. try it out. then try HEM and decide (HEM is only 15 day).

I have tried both, and PT3 just seems more intuitive and cleaner IMO.

Just try the free trials and decide. I'm a big fan of HEM, but like Jag that was partly because when i bought HEM it was around the time that PT3 would randomly crash in the middle of a session. HEM just has far more features, IMO (positional breakdown, etc.) and i like the HUD pop up 10000x more on HEM than PT3, where it was more annoying than helpful.
