Ok so I keep up with alot of high stakes action online, and was just wondering if anyone knew how many ftp's someone like tom dwan or phil galfond are earning an hour.
Also do the pros get ftps, wouldnt see a reason for them to but who knows.
Also what do they do with the ftps, they have to have a ton.

Since neither Dwan or Galfond are red named FT pros, I would assume they would get FTPs at whatever the normal FTP rate is for the rake they pay. As for guys like Hansen and Ivey, who knows. Obv it's not like they need them, but maybe they get them anyway. Maybe they use them to buy a new hat or jersey. lol

Also, I doubt considering how much money Dwan and Galfond make that they even really care about points.

Well with the rake cap they don't pay much more than midstakes players do, meaning they don't get many more FTP points. I'd be willing to bet on an hourly basis I get more FTP points than people like durrrr, although unfortunately that means I'm also paying more rake for a much much much much lower hourly rate than them lol.

Obviously the Red Pro's pay a rake, but they get 100% of their rake back, so in theory they don't pay the rake. At their level of play they only pay .50 hand for rake, so they are earning 3.5 FTP's a hand (at 7 FTP for each dollar).

And this is only each flop seen right? So if someone takes it down preflop with a raise or 3-bet or w/e no FTP's but also no rake paid I believe.

umm they pay rake.

Do you know this for a fact?

It's not much, but I assume he doesn't pay rake because he doesn't have that big ugly line in his pokertableratings graphs. The rake paid stat on him is less than 1%, so he probably paid rake until some agreement was made.

I assume FTP encourages the nosebleeders to play on their site so cutting their rake would be a bare minimum.

no, it's just that with the capping of rake, it becomes absolutely negligible at high enough stakes.

you don't even need to play nosebleeds to feel that effect. I pay about twice less rake (expressed in BB/100) at 200nl than I did at 50nl.
