I'm curious how players have adapted there strategies or style of play to fit these Rush tourneys / cash tables at FT? I have only been playing them for about 3 weeks and in the beginning I was doing what I figured a high percentage of people were doing and that was just folding until I got big hands.

I realized that wasn't a bad strategy for tournaments until late in them when the cards would go cold and I had to open my range up a bit. I suppose this is no different than most mtt's but with so many people folding all the time looking for that big hand early it seems easier to semi-bluff because generally anyone who is going to call or raise has that big hand they were looking for.

As for the cash tables I stay mostly to playing big hands and prime positions. I'd like to open up my range but i hate getting caught with my hand in the cookie jar...

The more I play these, and the more other people play these, the game seems to be migrating toward normal play in any 135 seat sng. It's most interesting to watch these evolve.

As this was a new format when it showed up about Mar 1, everybody is trying out different ways of approaching them. I still prefer the Ultra TAG early methods, but agree with you that there are some interesting early opportunities. I would just rather win a big hand early so I can exploit those opportunities with won chips rather than my paid for chips.

So the RUSH format caters to the ADD crowd who had no patience, and when the game speeds up this much, they tend to STILL HAVE NO PATIENCE! Seems they can have all that much more impatience. Amazes me still.
