Just got an email this morning for a $75 bonus. What's your thoughts on the best way in clearing this?

Highest denomination cash table your BR can afford, highest number of tables you can effectively play at one time.

I figured it at about 650 hands per day at $10NL (you have 10 days to clear the $75).

Are cash games the most effect way because my BR really doesnt allow me to play any cash games at the moment. Im having to rely on SnGs to unlock and build my BR.

...Hmmm would it be worth it to ignore proper BRM just to be able to unlock my full bonus? Or should I still follow proper BRM and unlock what I can?

I got this also. 10 days to clear. Think big, think fast! The problem is they also flipped the doomswitch on, and it will eat my solid br away trying to clear this.

Yeah, my BR is my biggest concern. In order to unlock it according to AG, I have to put up a large percent of my BR into the NL10 tables to unlock it. Im leaning toward just unlocking what I can. Even if its just $7.50, thats better than nothing.

Questions: I know that you get FT points depending on how much rake is taken out. Is that just the rake in general or do you have to be in that hand as well to get the points? Also, if this was true, then full tables would be more effective than short handed, right?

so how many points do we actually need to unlock $75?

I calculated $75 divided by $.06 (for every 1 FPP) and came up with 1250 points.

Correct, you get points even when you fold. Full ring is the best place to earn them. You also get 7 pts per $1 in tournament fees (I got 3.5 for the cc buy in noon event today).

so how many points do we actually need to unlock $75?

VVVV

Right. And at $10NL you get about one point per five hands. So 1250 x 5 = 6250 hands, or 625 hand per day for ten days.

I thought the point is they give you $75. If you can't clear it they take it back, but worst case you lose and gain nothing.

Wrong!, it is a prize at the end of a rainbow, not working capital to get you to the end of the rainbow!

Crap, apparently I was wrong. Don't feel like depositing on FT, so I guess I'm wasting my $75 bonus. Of course they always have the 50% reload bonus right? So if I ever do decide to deposit again, that's more bonus.

the bonus is for the advanced players?

I got it, and I'm sure as heck not an advanced player.

This bonus is keeeeeling me.

I sat at a table full of 60/1 donks and even one who was 86/0, and ended up down 1.5 buyins. GRRRRRR ! Two of these people were running like demi gods.

If I'd hit any hand at all, I'd be dangerous. 0 for 6 with AK, 0 for 4 with AQ. I had no PP's over TT, and hit no sets. Had 3 flush draws that missed and 2 OESDraws that missed.

Here's my typical hand:
Dealt AK, raise to 3 or 4x the BB.
Get 4 callers.
Cbet when I miss, all 4 people call and 2 people from another table then join in and call, so now I got 6 people calling me.
Make some really oversized ill advised bluff on the turn and more people join in calling, so now I got 17 people calling me down.
The river ends up being the 4 of tulips, I bet out representing a tulip flush and get 3, 4 , 5 bet and end up folding.

Of course all other 17 people in the hand all call and some guy who had nothing until the river flips over a Get Out of Jail Free card and wins the pot by default. He wins a pot bigger than the GNP of most third world countries and promptly sits out so as to taunt us all with his large stack.

 :icon_thum
