Stud, Stud 8, Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha 8, limit & No Limit. Short stack buy-ins.
The competition is VERY weak. I've played there 5-6 times and never lost money. I've had two break-even sessions but every other time, I've walked with at least twice my buy-in. (6 times is hardly a statistically significant sample size, but anecdotally, weak room)
Also, those sessions were all hit & run because my gf gets bored at the
slots after a couple hours. (not quite hit & run, but never longer than 3 hours at a table)
Free sodas and water only for players & alcohol is expensive.
Also, the dealers vary widely in skill. Had one guy who was very fast, but flipped cards at least every other deal, & had another who was two days younger than dirt who needed help determining the winning
hands.
I believe the $100 buy-in limit will change once the legislature gets their act together.
The Native Americans have an agreement that requires they be permitted gaming limits that equal or exceed any limits in the state. Once Miami-Dade voters opted for "Vegas-Style" gaming, the Federal Govt. stepped in and mandated that Governor Crist allow the same for the Seminole Tribe. He did so, but the legislature got all pissy, saying that he should have allowed them in on the deal, so the State Supreme Court stepped in & reversed Crists Executive Order, saying it is the legislature's responsibility.
Hard Rock hired a few thousand new employees for
roulette, Black Jack, Bacarat, Keno & god-knows what else, & they're currently stuck in a holding pattern until the state does whatever it needs to do to legalize it for the tribe.
Overall, I like the place, but I'd really like the Seminole tribe to put a casino in the Orlando Hard Rock. I have no clue what the rules are on that, but since the Seminole Tribe of Florida now owns Hard Rock Int'l, maybe they could make it happen
