You're all wrong. 12.2% is the correct answer, or 1:7.3!!!

:D

you shouldnt just looking to hit set you can still win the hand by putting lots of pressure to thes tightwads,if somebody raises preflop you can just ship it all in it always work for me

all in preflopp whit pocked 2s?? thats just stupid the other guy just hast to hit 1 card of his and your mostly busted

sets...

I agree with the small pp try and get in cheap ..if you flop a set great if not very easy to get away from it.

For anyone who doubts the power of the flopped set, check out these stats I just noticed today in Poker Tracker. These stats are for 205 tournaments, of various types.

Final Hand : Tournament Amount Won
High Card : -88,811
One Pair : 1,046
Two Pair : 92,015
Three of a Kind : 110,166
Straight : 11,881
Flush : 56,820
Full House : 22,624
Four of a Kind : 7,351

Despite hitting 2-pair more than 5 times as often as sets, I've still earned more tournament chips with the sets. Boats and quads are great, but nothing gets paid like a set.

With the odds about 8-1 against hitting your set there would need to be a lot of people in the pot to justify playing them. I never play the small pairs in early position and maybe not in late if there's a raise on the table. If you don't hit your set any other pair will have you beat.
