did the floor person go too far

There is a thread in this forum called controversial hand and it has three videos of such hands the second one is called angel shoot this happened at the ept grand final in madrid 2011 there are two tables of 5 left there are two players in the pot at the river the chip leader at the tournament had a full house off fives over six the player in the big blind had two pair of kings and fives. The player with kings and fives bets out 275000 in too a pot of 665000 which males the pot 940000 chips the chip leader ask how much then he announces raise so he put in the 275000 that was originally bet he pause for a moment then he says sorry i call and everything stops the deal explains to him the u announced lishraise and then the chip leader says he speaks no English. The tournament foolr person comes in and says he has too put in a raise of 275000 but he goes a step further and tells the other player still in the hand that he had done this three times before and he also tells him that the other times he did this he has a monster hand. The player with king and fives decides too call and loses the hand. May ? for all of u is this did the floor person goes too far in telling the other player this information? and should their have been any other punishment for the player who angel shoot?

I have no problem whatsoever with the floor man telling the other player that he has pulled the move before, as well as what he tends to pull it with.

Apparently, not only had this guy made this same move earlier in that tournament, but he reportedly had made the same move several times in a previous tourney. I couldn't believe that Yanayt actually made the call knowing all that.

I normally don't like to comment about another players style, tells or habits during a game. But that's just because I don't like helping the competition out by giving them free information that I had to work to get. I definitely don't think anyone should be commenting about what someone else did or does, or how they play in the middle of a hand. Here, however, I make an exception. Like JusSumguy says, it just goes to show how despised angle shooting is. It's like the tourney director knew what he was doing and knew it was wrong and wanted to penalize him for it. But since there is really no way to prove that Freitez had done it on purpose (except to know that he has done it previously), the only way he could really penalize him was to let Yanayt know that he had done the same thing before when he was holding the nuts.

Sick thing is, that scumbag went on to win it.

Dunno if there was any follow up repercussions but I would be banning him from the EPT if I was calling the shots.

He definatley should be banned to say oops I meant to call is bad enough but to go as far to try to use an excuse of a language barrier is ridiculous..

In the video the guy who called said he would of gotten more out of him if he just raised bigger and didn't try to angle shoot

The floorman doesn't want to be a part of this guys cheap shot. Every time he wants to take it, the floorman has to stop actually doing his job and make the same decision. Now the a-hole knows he is going to get the decision he wants, but the rest of the table will know what he is trying to pull.

Not speaking English! How stupid is that? You only need to know 3 words. As for did the floorman go too far... hell no. He should have taken the guy out back and whooped his ass for insulting his and the rest of the staff and player's intelligence.
