Ok so you're in a tournament and in a hand heads up against one other person. On the river you shove with a full house (holding AA) on a board of As, 10h, 9h, 9s, Qh. Your opponent calls (he has you out chipped). You show your AA and he immediately mucks. You ask the dealer to show his hand to the table, which you have the right to do, and it is easily identifiable. The dealer flips his cards up revealing Jh 8h and awards the pot to your opponent, you are now out of the tournament.
Was this the right call? Try to answer before you look it up.

Absolutely the right call by the dealer. Tabled cards play themselves. This is the risk that players take when exercising their right to see an opponents mucked hand from a called bet.

wow that is crazy. I would have said the hand was dead. I never ask to see mucked cards. Definitely not asking now.
