Hey everyone what's up I'm new to cardschat. Now i'm not the type to go on and on about bad beats but check this out.....

so i did the survey thing to get the free 5 bucks from noble poker, and I'm in a 1$ SNG... we're 3 handed and some guy is going all in every single hand, and im getting total rags. Well I finally decided to take a stand with 5/5 and he flips Q/10, coinflip right? WELL.... the first 4 cards on the board were all KINGS and i get outkicked. UNREAL.

on a side note, the bad beats on noble poker seem UNBELIEVABLE. never seen anything like it before in 2 years of online poker, i cant even list them all from only 4 hours of play. and when i say bad beat i mean BAD beat, just horrible.

Taking your first two posts into consideration, I beg to differ.

If I told you how many times low pocket pair got beaten by rediculous circumstance, you'd would die of natural causes before I got a chance to finish.

But welcome to the Cardschat anyways :)

Hey Fish the only reason I posted that is because it was the ONE and only time i've ever seen the board make a 4 of a kind, thought i'd share it see if it happened to anyone else. Alright man?

I've seen the board have 4 Aces before... I was sitting there with pocket Kings, and initially I was wondering if the remaining Ace was going to take all my chips... then I saw the last one and knew I was OK... I think I turned out to be against pocket Jacks. I think that's the only time I've seen 4 of a kind on the board so far.
It doesn't really qualify as a bad beat if you're all-in before the flop - you were only a marginal favourite with 5's. If someone is going all-in every hand then you have to pick something better than 5's to play with - AK, AQ, even AJ or AT if it's literally every hand, or the real premium pocket pairs, otherwise you're condemning yourself to a coin flip, generally with all your chips on the line rather than all his. Even with AK you'll go out more often than you'd like - only AA, KK or QQ would be likely to be solid favourites, but at least you'd have a noticeably better than even money chance with 2 overcards to his rather than an underpair.

Welcome to the forum, though.

I don't get it. You lost a coinflip, it happens, whether it be by a Q flopping or a KKKKx board.
