I might play in one of the 1K events - probably June 26th or July 1st. The ladies event is too early - it is June 11th. I want to be there when most of the CC people are there - and for at least the 1st week of the Main Event.

3 more years to wait :(

:( :( :(

I won't be going in 2010 as I just don't have the money to spend, but maybe in 2011.
All the hotel prices probably go up to mega expensive when the World Series is on don't they?
Is anyone on here playing the Main Event?

They're going to have nightly $200 tournaments as well? I missed that on there.. and I assume they aren't part of the wsop, just tournaments that the casino is holding?

I think Main Event is too expensive. I will play maybe 1k or 1,5k events and the sattelite to main event.

That's pretty similar to my plans. I really want to go there this year and since i'm not a huge donkament fan, i'd probably play one 1k event and then some cash tables.

Also, too bad the ladies event is so early. I heard someone was willing to stake me for those... :D

Yeah I saw that, but way too many $1k tournaments... or should I say Donk-aments.... lol because am sure they will draw the big crowds, and the large fields.. like the Stimulus $1k tournament...

but it will be a lot of fun to play in... who knows, maybe i'll be one of the donks playing on the $1k tourneys ;-)

Yes, they certainly aren't bracelet events. During the WSOP, the Rio "moves" their poker room to the Amazon Room (and adjacent conference rooms). Did you look at the sheet for the $200 tourneys though? It's 3K in chips and 20 min levs and they start at 11 PM.

You'd almost get more value out of your $200 doing the following:
1) Finding a hooker
2) Playing a hand of blackjack
3) Flushing your $200 down a toilet and watching it swirl.

It's interesting that the HORSE World Championship and 8-Game Mixed Championship have flipped. HORSE is now 10K, 8-Game is the 50K players championship.

I would not be surprised if they show the 50K 8-Game on ESPN, because it features NLHE and therefore, it wouldn't bastardize the tourney to have it be NLHE towards the end (or show more of the NLHE hands).

I am very surprised they kept it near the beginning of the series. Since alot of players grumbled about them losing $40K right off the bat in last year's 40th Anniversary tourney.

Thanks for posting that. I'd really like if my stupid lame internet would load it. (That and the Obama plays poker fail to load), but I'll be sure to check by when I get on another internet stuff. (Yup. That just happened.)

Im glad they changed the $50000 buyin to 7 game i really hope they show it on ESPN like they did with the $50000 horse the first couple years.Does anyone know if they might have satties for the $10000 horse championship, that would be sweet,I love horse and would like to play one of the $1500 or $2500 horse tourneys but if they have satties for the $10000 who knows it would be much more exciting to play with the big boys,as long as Scotty isnt drunk again!

They have sats for everything at the WSOP, even the $50K buy in. But honestly you could win your $10K seat to the Main Event and just take the $10K and use it for the $10K HORSE.

I'm like the number of 1K events. I've been talking about playing in one of these events for the last few years and have never done it. I think this year is the year. I can afford 1K. I think the July 1st event looks good. That way, if I can actually satellite into the main event, I can just make one trip to Vegas.
