Who is your favourtie wsop main event winner from the last 10 main events?
mine are personally Hachem (because I'm from Australia) and Merson (because i thought he played terrific). Anyway, I want to hear what you guys have to say!

Chris Moneymaker, the whole story behind it $39 into $2.5million. Isnt that what we all dream of?

Doubt any of us would be here without Moneymaker

Been some genuinely worthy winners in that period. Loved Eastgate's win though, purely because it looked like he'd just won the ****ing $3r or something and not $9m lol

I've probably gotta go with Hachem too. I don't know that he played especially well, or was especially likeable, but without the poker boom he triggered in Australia I probably wouldn't have a job today :p

Moneymaker, I enjoy going back and watching the 03 wsop on youtube, it's quite entertaining, especially him. Plus he just seems like an honest good guy, where as most poker players seem like, well, poker players :)

Greg "Fossilman" Raymer. Great win in '04 then followed it up the next year with I believe a Top 20 performance.

I really enjoyed the coverage from 04-06. Those were the 3 best years IMO.

I was in HS and poker was just booming and it was all new and exciting. I remember just thinking it was me and I couldn't wait until I was 21.

Now I am 25 (26 in may) and praying I can play the M.E.

I will be the next winner!

Chris moneymaker's story is amazing! But I would pick Greg Merson, I stayed up the whole night watching the end of the 2012 WSOP and he played so smart and very aggressive, that improved my game a whole lot just watching him and for that I have to pick him as my favorite WSOP main event winner!

Pius Heinz, he definitely cracked poker using his intelligence. Good player with a lot of potential.

I was kidding by the way. My favorites are Joe Hachem (because he won with 7-3), Ryan Riess (I think he was confident and great, reminded me of me), Pius Heinz (♫ Nananananananana, Pius Pius Heinz, Pius Heinz, Piiius Pius Heinz ♫)(plus he was also a very good player), and Greg Merson (great player, even Phil Ivey was supporting him during the final table).
