Hi! Now I often find a lot of information about fast poker launch. Many poker rooms actively develop this theme. For example, Fast Fold, Zoom from Poker Stars, Boost Poker, Rapid Poker from EvenBet Gaming. According to your opinion, is fast poker the new tendency in the gaming industry? Will it replace classical poker?

It won't replace classical poker.
The format in those fast games are probably for the millennials, most have no patience, they have grown up in a society where quick results have become the norm due to technology.

ZOOM/Fast fold is not much different from classical and I disagree that it can show better/faster results than classical, its just that you have to play with fewer tables than classical, where you can sit at 20 tables at once.

Zoom is simply a different approach to one and the same issue - very many hands to fold before actual play.

All kinds of quick poker profitable for poker rooms. So now there are varieties of such games. But the Classical poker will never replace any roulette.

It was said that Zoom on PS is nearly 250 hands per hour per table. Players have reported being able to grind 1000 hands per hour 4-tabling without a loss of pace. That’s over triple the hands/hr of regular tables.

I do agree that the poker rooms love the fast fold format but for the player it will be very difficult to maintain a decent win rate without being able to table select. I personally do not like the format but see why the rooms love it.

Do you really think what this kind of behavior is a new generation problem or of the industry trend that squeezes the maximum of the players and pay the minimum of taxes?

I think that Zoom takes less attention and therefore less skill. Being on a new table with each hand means that I can't as well figure out the other players nor can they figure me out. Since I like to play while I'm doing other things, or if I'm going to play more than one table at the same time, then Zoom suits me just fine. And if I'm playing conservatively, I'll play just to break even but the fast play racks up the reward points or star coins or whatever.

I played better in the classic poker. In quick - the results are worse.

The fast tendency is more a nod to wanting players to play more and more of a bingo style of play. It encourages more rake as the players in cash are playing more hands and in the tournies it allows players to play in short windows between life.
Not a purist but I think there is room for both, once they start to push traditional poker out,it becomes a problem for me.

Thanks , that's a statistical info I didn't know .
I don't believe zoom kind of poker games will replace in the future the classical poker ones , they will co-exist , zoom-kind has it's followers , but the old ones with the regular speed willl always be no1 choice

Not a fan of it, and having coached players who primarily play fast poker, the depth of their thought process is severely severely lacking from what I've seen in general. I think it's great if you just want to mindlessly play a bunch of hands quickly. But if you want to play poker, it's not as profitable, and it's really more mechanical and personally not interesting to me.

I don't think poker should be played fast because the less hands you see the more you rely on luck to win
