My wife does not see anything bad in poker, but she does not allow me to wet her money, because she is afraid that she will lose everything ... says that I would rise from scratch ...And I know how to do this ...
I do not agree with her, from scratch it's almost impossible to
Impossible?!? Are you serious? Of course it's possible! Very possible, i did it myself and i recommend to do so to every newcomer! And your wife is a wise woman or have a great intuition about it and you better listen to her. I tell you few reasons, why it's better to start from scratch:
1)
Risks. As inexperienced player you simply don't have enough skills and patience to play profitable on a long run, you can't handle with tough downswings yet and most likely loose a lot of money if you will make deposits one after another and try some higher limits to win faster or to earn your money back that you just lost. That's a huge trap of most beginners, who start playing poker without plan. Here is one example true story, how bad it can end. I hope that
Aparajit forgives me, that i post link to his thread here, but his tellingly story shows how can it end in the worst case.

2)
Experience & Discipline. If you start from scratch you have to play a lot of
hands, at the beginning
freerolls, then lowest limits and if "deposit" is the forbidden word for you, you have to be very careful with your play for money and very conservative with your Bankroll Management, otherwise you could blow it away in short time and back to playing Freerolls again, as your bankroll zero again. That will teach you discipline a lot, you need pretty much especially, when stakes are get higher. Also because you have to play a lot on smallest stakes to earn some $ to be able to play higher, you get more experienced and be more ready to play with the serious boys later.
3)
Self-confidence and pride for yourself. If you raised your Bankroll from scratch you shall have seen already how nasty this game can be, all those bad beats and weeks of downswings and you had to deal with and you survived, you got mentally stronger and if it happen again on higher stakes, you will survive it either and don't go broke, like if you made deposit and never experienced such stuff. Also if you raised your bankroll from 0, you shall be very proud of yourself. You have never invested a penny and you are playing now some limits higher, than just smallest one or freerolls. You are playing with the money, you have won from other loosing players, because of your edge of the game and because you play smarter. It's a great feeling. I mean it's something very different to deposit $100 and make it to $200. Even a fish can do that, if he is on lucky upstrike (usually he just loose and deposit again, but sometimes not). But it's something different to make it from 0 to $200. You need some skills.
I could write a whole article about it actually, but i would stop now, as i wrote already too long text, as reply ^_^. I hope my reasons were logical for you and you try it for yourself. Good luck with this and keep your funds safe! As i said before, i never paid a penny of my own money and i did never regret of that. Vice versa i'm very proud of my poker way and what have i learned and earned by hard working on my own game and playing playing playing millions of hands. Yes i'm not exaggerate it, you need to have played at least a million hands (and it's not that much), to say i have a distance behind and i'm beating it, cause i'm experienced and thoughtful player. And here is another interesting Thread-Challenge, where
JohnCPoker17 actually currently shows that it's possible and not in a very long time to make it from scratch. He is up to make his $2 bankroll to $5000 in a half year and is at $150 already after few months! Ain't it significant?
