Eyes opened, and mind blown...
I've been a lurker on here for awhile and finally decided to register and get involved in the community here. I want to start by thanking Cardschat for turning me on to a book that has pretty much changed how I approach poker.
I've been grinding out 25nl for awhile and never really thought it was more than a little extra cash and a hobby but after reading Dusty's thread on here I decided to read his book. It's a total game changer in terms of how I see the game and approach it now. It was pretty cool to read a book that worked on making sure that I prepared myself to play my best game when I sat down.
I don't know what to compare this to in terms of a regular job. I guess this book is to poker what The Art of War
or How to Win Friends and Influence People
is to a sales or marketing person. Link if you want to check it out. https://www.dustyschmidt.net/order_d...ke-a-business/
I'd also like to hear from others on here as to what you do off the tables to prepare yourself for success etc. Anyone have some mental prep exercises they do before they sit down?
Thanks guys just had to share this cause I really liked it. Guess I'm like that guy who loved a movie and has to make all his friends watch it.
