EXTREME poker rates

What are everyones thoughts on the raising rake at Las Vegas poker rooms, $5 is ridiculous, The Greedy bastards, its comparible to the 6/5 payout on black jack, people keep playing it, Harrahs greed does not surprise me at all, I dont understand how they keep such patronage, It must be since it mainly tourist who dont care how bad they are getting screwed, and not even a kiss

The Golden Nugget and The Bellagio has a $4 Max Cap, the rest as far as I know are still at $3.00

Of course this is ridiculous but....why would they change it unless their players start heading out the doors? Seems like smart business on their part, of course I hate it just as much as everyone else!! I agree that it is mostly tourists who just want to play as the smart tourists/locals would not play at such a place.

geesh $5 rake sounds pretty frickin bad, sure hope thats on high limit tables!
