Let's say you are playing at a casino, and the dealer accidentally exposes one of your hole cards, and it is an ace. I know the mistake is typically rectified by making the exposed card the 'burn' card before the flop, and replacing the exposed with the burn card so the player now has two unexposed hole cards. But can the player refuse this and just say that he wants to keep his ace?

No. Once the card is accidentally exposed it's no longer the players card.

You really don't want other players knowing your hole cards regardless if it is an ace or not, so even if you could keep it the best thing to do would be not keep it.

I'm a dealer and can confirm - the player has no say in the matter if they want to keep it or not.

Thanks all. Doesn't look like I'll make it Walt, but I am trying to figure out how to get up there for the Sunday Seniors event on Dec. 6.
