Do you play and (important!) earn by playing no Holdem or omaha poker games? Such as stud, ruzz, badugi or any draws. I like to switch my mind sometimes, they are easier. But how hard is here to regularly win? Does it make sense to learn it seriously or it's just a games for fun, grinding the rake?

I think you need to take seriously in every game format in order to succeed...

Playing for fun is ok but your opponent wont be playing for fun..

Nowadays competion is rising day by day because some players just cant get enough of learning...

I guess you must take seriously in every game you chose..

I think around 2014 it peaked. Until then from like 2003 gradually more sharks per player appeared. Donkeys (LAG/LP extremist fish) must have always been around the same percent as the percentage of players who gamble for pure trolling is probably not increasing or decreasing but the no percentage of wannabe Shari's who make genuine mistakes as in the non-rec fish has got to a maximum low at 2014, the intake of new learners to poker means these still a fair share it's just they are less loose than before.

I am specialist in holdem 9 max table cash game but I'm good at all forms of holdem... I prefer it to Omaha and other forms where I feel luck factors in far more frequently than talent.

I play the other games in freerolls on Grosvenor Poker, on different days they have different types, Razz, Stud, Draw. I prefer Hold'em or Omaha as you can tell how strong your hand is in comparison to what your opponents *could* have and bet accordingly. I have lost most hands in Draw to a stronger Full House or better flush

The truth is that my modality is holdem, I do not pay much attention to other modalities, so I would not know to tell you .. In particular, I need to learn many things so at the moment I only concentrate and correct errors of my game. regards

how are different games I believe that if first go recreationally, just to enjoy, and go studying slowly, I sometimes play with fictitious currency in the ps, to go get the hang of these modalities, if you get along and study can be profitable, yes, because you have fewer players in them, it gives you a certain advantage if you are a good player!

Back when I could still play on pokerstars, I used to love playing HORSE. Playing the different games kept things interesting, and forced me to concentrate on the game. Also, most players were weak on one, or more, of the games so it was usually easier to cash.

the truth so far apart from Holdem I only showed interest in the 5card draw. in my opinion I think they should include more tournaments in the rooms of that modality. about whether it is profitable to learn all these modalities would not tell you. I think Holdem is good.

I tried to play other games but I do not like it, it's better for me to play poker in Omaha or Holdem!

I wish I would stick to just holdem, but I need the variety. play has improved a lot over the years in the other games. About 10 years ago a grinded horse sit n gos and had a nice ROI, I could never match that now.

every type of game is good his own way,
like someone say: "you are not poker player if you know how to play holdem only",.

I am specialist in holdem 9 max table cash game but I'm good at all forms of holdem...

who told this to you?

I prefer it to Omaha and other forms where I feel luck factors in far more frequently than talent.

more luck factors where? in which kind of poker luck factor is higher than in NLholdem?

I like to mix it up. Mostly I play holdem and Omaha, but I like PLO8, 7card & 7 card Hi/lo and razz. My fav is razz but I rarely see those games.

I understand the mindset of sticking to one game and perfecting it, but I think my NLH game improved as I learned to think from Omaha and hi/lo perspectives. At a minimum you get more familiar with hand strengths from a different perspective. But nothing to back that up just my own perspective.

And I enjoyed learning Bodagi during some cc events last summer and spring

Asa a tournament player i have little possibilities to play such games with normal regularity as they are rare at rooms.

Haven't met a poker game yet that I can't play or don't like I play them all.. Although I am partial PLO8 I do enjoy the mixed games like H.O.R.S.E.!! Was kinda wondering why I don't see mixed game tournaments offered online anymore?? Definitely need to bring them back..

I switched to Omaha some time ago, but then switched back to Hold'em. I really liked Omaha, but I found (maybe it was just me) that there seemed to be more variance in Omaha, especially hi/lo. Plus there were far fewer Omaha games available. So I'm happy to be back to playing Hold'em exclusively.

I love playing different modalities, I've had many joys playing triple stud tournaments and badugi cash tables. I think if you take it seriously they are as much or more profitable than the holdem
