Just heard about this book. Excelling at No Limit Hold'em by Jonathan Little.

There is a review (a little biased, he wrote part of it :) ) on the Gripsed YouTube channel here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNAYstvl4Yc ). The book is not all by Jonathan, there are chapters by many Poker Pros. Helmuth, Merson, Evan and Boeree to name just a few of the roughly 17 contributors. There are also chapters on life-style and the mental side of poker.

I've ordered my copy, it's on Amazon and probably elsewhere too. Very reasonably priced £20.40 (not checked on USian pricing) for 500+ pages. That's only 4p per page :D, a bargain. At 500+ pages, failing all else, it'll make a good doorstop.

If everyone, in all walks of life. thought that way progress would come to a standstill.

Yes, you should develop your own style but it helps to have a good foundation to start from. Finding out how others think about the game can be the trigger for your own development. £20 for a book is considerably less than the amount you are likely to spend developing your own style by trial and error.
