ESPN announced today that it has extended its deal with Harrah's Entertainment to televise the wsop on ESPN until 2010. In addition to the regular television coverage, poker fans will be able to watch the final table live through ESPN PPV.

For $24.95, poker enthusiasts will be able to see all the action as it happens with "The world series of poker Live!" from the 2006 final table on their TV screens or via live video stream at ESPN.com. Viewers can catch the action as players vie for an estimated $10 million first prize, with live coverage running from 3 p.m. ET on Aug. 10 until the champion is crowned.

I dont think I've seen anyone post about it so....what do you think?

Would you pay to see JUSt the final table live?

Or, Why pay for the final table when you can see the people make their way through 8k people for free on ESPN months later?

IMO they should show it all live. . . As hard as that would be. But I'd have to go with free...because I don't have that kind of money...even if they Are going to show 10 straight hours of boredom! lol

IMO I would wait until they aired the whole thing on ESPN. That's one thing I have looked forward to the last few years sitting down on a Tuesday evening for an hour or so and watching the WSOP!

I wonder how many will pay for this?

ESPN will replay that crap out of it, so why bother paying $25 to see it first? Poker fanatics might want to but that's about it.

I'd pay to see it. Plus if you have a few poker crazy friends, invite them over for pizza and split the $25 fee. Besides, watching live will show alot of people what a final table is really like and not the edited down version they'll show for free.
