in the long run, skill stands out the most... but it sure feels good to be a luckbox once in a while!

There's a saying in poker that really applies to anything where chance is involved. "Luck never gives, it just lends". There's just no outplaying luck, but in the long run, skill is always victorious. You need both to win a big tournament.

What if you got two players who are both equally good?
Is skill then still a factor? Or does the luckiest win that session?

in the long run luck evens out between everyone.
if you play enough hands, you'll see that you get AA the same amount of times as other people do, you'll hit 2 outers the same amount of time.
over a short run, luck isnt even but in the long run its completly fair, which leaves room for poker skill to win the money.
if you have more skill than your opponents, you'll win more, simple as that.

When your in a mess......I hope for luck, when your playing selective hands and playing in position I still think it is skill.

It has been my experience lately, luck has won out.
